I also don't sit here making claims of doing X or Y. I've never actually said I know this because I’ve done all these things without providing proof of those things. But you do make a good point, so don’t worry about proving how many world champions you’ve found. I’m perfectly happy playing the abstract game and completely understand it. I know of a few dogs you’ve sent to this side of the pond, that’s what I’ll base my opinion on. But that’s the internet game we play…all of us…make a statement, usually impossible to prove or validate because in our business only the people involved with the transactions only know what the real story is, and then people move on either believing it’s true or it isn’t. Most times people are very trusting and think everything is true, so internet reputations are made and built and no one ever goes back to question why it exists. And nothing personal, I do believe you’ve found good dogs and placed them in high level homes. That’s the biggest downfall of those of us in sport…any claims we make are generally easily looked up and could either be proven right or wrong. When it comes to “real working dogs” or even brokering dogs…only a handful of people can prove it and they’re probably not on the forum. I would think after you make a statement like you have, you’d be very proud to name the dogs you’ve found. I don’t care about the people, just wondering who the dogs are.

 

I'll add...duke, no disrespect at all, I do know you do good work and have real proof to back up what you do. I've known you through the forum and also know of you through other sources who have said great things. My point is more about how many people can easily say things on the internet and others just blindly fall for them...many things that have to do with the dog world are "take at face value" which is a huge problem because it's hard to know who to believe.

But al lot of people breeding with dogs in their pedigree without seen them in real live
let we talk about 3 until 7 generation in the pedigree and some times even the stud who is used.,And most people get only information
from the www about this dogs

In KNPV the cross malinois/dutch shepherd  this dogs most of them are titled in Holland or in Belgium NVBK and most breeders have trained with this dog themselve, have seen many offspring and have done many decoy work from many different top producers. This give them more information and a better opinion than let we say Nick Heiligenbosch. Yoshy
 Dollenwiese, Schifflage dogs ,Gento Haus Larwin etc ,etc dogs who are used in many pedigree, close linebreeding but a lot of people have never trained with this dogs or seen them in real life.

In KNPV example they breeding with young dogs 15 months old some are very promising in their training and have proven bloodlines who most of the handlers know themself.Than they start breeding with 3 or 4 breeding females and than they gonna wait what this dogs producing, why waiting until 3 years old after they are titled and is there is a big chance they are sold to any police department in the world , I believe this give them a
lead in their breeding program and much better information because all the information good or bad from this dogs is very close and not only from the www.

Let s see your dogs. I would love to see what you find great, not hear about it. AND, if a person/breeder don't think the dogs they are using in their breeding programs are the best, they got no damn business breeding them at all. PERIOD.
Maybe by the time I get through the rest of this thread, and more of the BS, I mean BW insights to the downfall of the breed, I may possibly learn something, maybe the light will come on for me and I say, Hot Damn, these Police that want more dogs from me don't know jack shit about working dogs, I might need to send them the BW way to get educated.

kitkat, many people still believe in the SV system and that is fine, for pet and sport, if people want something more/else they should inform themselves, easy as that
I test dogs on simple way, expose them to NON trained situations and environments and see how they work,

Anybody can test a dog like this and see how their dog reacts, this test will take some 10 minutes and will tell you lots about your dog, and test 8 or more qualities of dog you will not see if this dog was in an IPO routine

i don't have the time, or desire to be the forum expert. I do know my German Shepherds though, I live with my dogs, 24/7.
Training is 24/7. I don't put them away when I've had enough. And I have several. And I have a little of every type, NEVER a Dull moment.
I don't replace my breeding dogs, I BREED for my next dog and I keep my old dogs.
I don't have one dog here, (wait, that's a lie, I have 2, one yorkie and one 4 month old pup) that could not go out and find a missing person if need be, or one that if called on to protect wouldn't protect me. And Obedience, I go to the rabies clinics with 5 shepherds by myself. Time and devotion, and and a great deal of Pride.
My Bomber girl, no pun intended...IS THE BOMB, I guess all those that talk crap, and thats what it is, get a feel good from it.
I will ALWAYS SAY, I don't just think I got the best dogs, I know I do!!
