The $4000.00 was a down payment for the dog ?
Seriously seems like the people in the States never learn. Europe especially the former Eastern block countries has some many con artists and the Americans are taken every single day and they still don't learn. We have some excellent breeders here, you can go see the dog and if you like it than buy it, if not than just walk away. When they ship the dog from oversee to you, and you don't like the dog and this is not what you expected. They show you pictures, video of one dog and the'll send you another one, what you do than. You'll try to resale him to someone here? than you will be exactly the same like the guy who sold you this dog,or you just give him away and than you'll be a good guy. Make your choice who you want to be.
I don't get it how people in USA can import most of the rejects from Europe.Don't get me wrong, there are excellent dogs coming here but not for $4000. you have to multiply this numbers few times than you can import something really good.

So glad that some of you extended to the New Member kindness, understanding and helpful comments and of course the wonderful name calling
Really none of you have EVER read here of a US breeder that scammed someone, the dog/pup was not etc etc
Over 20 years bought many dog not on US soil never a problem. Guess I am lucky or maybe do better home work.
Have any of you thought that the breeder may be telling the truth about the heat. That is a real problem
OP you can check on that as well call the airline that is doing the shipping.
Cage and Bundishep are good sources to ask as they do know many breeders/sellers in Europe.

Did seller and buyer both not think about heat considerations until after money changed hands?

If you can't afford to fly to euro to look at a dog and kennel you are going to import a dog from to make money off then don't buy a dog in euro.
Am I a genius or what, would appear so around here.
