After trying one of the freeze dried raw diets with my 7 1/2 year old because it was easier to transport when we were on the road, I am back to Victor and will stay with it. I feed the Yukon River grain free http://www.victordogfood.com/yukon.html

SO disappointing to hear about Merrick.
Well, it's been 4 years since we've had a dog (after losing Hunter) - so I'm a bit out of the loop obviously. Thanks for the info!
Certainly won't look at feeding that to our next dog, when the time comes. UGH. Thanks again!

I too like CANIDAE the grain free line and their non-grain free lin are both very good. I know a few people that feed Canidae and the dogs look great.
Annamaet (sp) dog food is another one I like. Good ingredients and not to high on the protein levels.

I also like the formula of the Victor Yukon however they do not state whether the salmon they use is wild or farmed. There is a huge difference between the two.

Purina will ruin every dog food and do not trust them
THey also make Sam's dog food that everyone brags about.
I use VICTOR also from our local feed store here in Tyler
They have a grain free also and lots of other choices to pick from
Mom uses Holistic Natural Nature made by Sunshine Mills and the Turkey Grain Free by same company

I have had great success with NutriSource; my dogs love it, they have normal bodily functions, gorgeous shiny coats, and it doesn't break the bank!
