Two Moons

by Two Moons on 17 May 2014 - 17:05

WWIII will be fought with sticks and stones, probably over the last of the food or safe drinking water.

Best we learn from past mistakes before we repeat them once more, and do something we cannot take back.

Moons,

Power, control and stupidity - causes war. The sad part not many people learn from past mistakes.

Shtal,

Your understanding of war and human nature rivals your understanding of just about everything else, since you brought the whole issue up in the first place.

And since gouda already knows what's in store for Russia why discuss it any further.

Vk4,

Russia + China?

All this from a hand held device?

Only in the (real America)....LOL

Good points Rose....

Let’s compare the situation to Kosovo, clearly saying that when its independence was recognized by the most western countries that “cleared precedent” and in which the way same countries have been dealing with Crimea is NOT only based on double standards but it is simply cynical. What to do we have from folks in the west in Europe? They say Russia is violating international law, but I am glad that they at least remember international law exists; it’s better late than never. The Crimea’s people used Kosovo as a “precedent” and western partners set this precedent themselves with there own actions and in a situations which is fully inelegance to the situation in Crimea. They recognize Kosovo and they proved you do NOT actually need permission from the central government to declare your territory, sovereign state.

Now listen closely, there was also accusations that Russia committed military intervention to Crimea. Russia doesn’t remember an example in history where military intervention would be possible without single fired shot, unlike happened in Yugoslavia, Iraq and Afghanistan and other examples but at the same time Moscow does want to cooperate with NATO just doesn’t want to see this military alliance right at their backdoor. Russia hoped western partners would understand this point of view. You know for years Russia has been pressured for having independent stand so on very issues and it dealing with that situation but Ukraine was the red line.

Russia has every reason to believe that an old policy of containing Russia is still in place, because they take independent position; everything has its limits and in the case of Ukraine? Russia’s western partners have crossed the red line, they were rude and unprofessional and they are acted irresponsibly. Russia’s western partners prefer to use a principal, might is right! They believed that they are always in the right and that they are unique, trusted by God to decide the fate of other nations. They are like pressure on other countries to get resolutions that they need and if that fails, they simply bypass the Security Council. That was the case in 1990 in Yugoslavia as it was in Afghanistan and Iraq. And they distorted UN resolution in Libya, they did NOT nearly enforce no fly zone, they bomb that country. I hope you understand me clearly and I properly addressed your remarks.

Sthal,

it's amazing how your typing and language skills have improved, even though your still having the same old comprehension problems.

You missed my point entirely.

You said "Power, control and stupidity - causes war", and that was what my comment was about, so no, you did not properly address my remarks.

gouda,

your two faced approach ain't makin it, your still the same ole fraud.

VK4,

there is no "owns the world" and those who seek domination of the planet have no nationality.

They simply use nations to do their bidding and provide part of their security like hired help.

All we need now is another (Yee haw) from the (real American) and everything will be right as rain.
