Thats what I wanted to know. Amir, and now I see what was done if u sell her good if not u have puppies. The only thing I can see is selling a pregnant bitch will the person u sell her to, whelp those pups properly as that is a big deal with me, and feed her correctly, which is expensive, and u must only sell to those u do a check on. I can see her going to a puppy mill here, or somewhere where pups sold and there goes pups no one know where or where my bloodlines end up. I guess I dont think that way. I emailed the owner of the ad and i just got his reply and wouldnt u know I hit the delete button by mistake so hes resending the email....He was very nice and I only read the first two sentences before it disappeared.

I havent ask the price yet. I dont consider that proper. I want to know about her, maybe Ill import my first bitch already pregnant? I would worry if she could be transported that far without incident . She has "a" stamp and two titles Im not familiar with. Kennel@pannoniawolf.com ? anyone know this kennel?

Amir, please don't take this the wrong way - don't you ever form an attachment to these dogs? Frankly, I can't imagine buying a bitch, getting attached to her, breeding her once or twice and then selling her pg with another litter. It's almost like selling off a kid. Is it just business and do the breeders who do this deliberately fail to bond with these bitches because they know they are not going to keep them?

Blitzen: thats what I felt when I saw the ad? They title and a stamp, breed dog keep one pup, rebreed her I assume next heat , keep one pup , breed her offer for sale and if no sale have pups keep one or none , sell her as soon as possible.. Is that the way they do it. That' why I ask the question......I want to see how many people do this.....still awaiting the email resent i deleted. I assume these are large kennel in the business of selling pups of quality and thats how it is donel;

This is done quite often actually. It is generally done so the breeder can bring in new blood, or has adequate offspring from this female and does not want to bred themselves into a box. To anyone who believes that breeders make a lot of money breeding, is niave to breeding. We breed as a hobby, to improve the breed, and are continuously in the red because of this. We breed once or twice a year, and what we make on these breedings is usually not enough to cover stud fees, vet. expenses, food, vaccinations, and time off from work because we are not full time breeders. I must admit there are some who are using breeding as their livelyhood. We do not think of these people as true breeders.

Yellowrose, while it may not appeal to us, it could be a good opportunity for you if the bitch hasn't produced problems that are the reason for her being for sale. Judging by posts I've read on this board, on occassion there are bitches exported to the US as being pg and they are not when they arrive. I've also heard of some that are shipped so far into whelp that the litter is born on the plane. I don't think these are common occurances, but they do happen. I guess you'd have to have some good assurance that the bitch is pg, a sonogram comes to mind, and that the sonogram actually belongs to the bitch you are looking at. If it all works out, it could give you a nice start in breeding GSD's and I imagine the bitch would get a chance at a forever home. I have to be honest, there are only a handful of people who I myself would ever buy a GSD from now that I've got a lot smarter about the way this breed is handled (or should I say mishandled). I don't want to breed, so a pg bitch would be out of the question but if I wanted to get into breeding, I'd probably give it a lot of thought and really research the person offering the bitch for sale. I've always been told that the Germans give no guarantees of anything and that doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling either. It's a crap shoot, isn't it?

Kayjd, same question, don't you form any attachment to these dogs? It actually all sounds so cold and uncaring to me, I'm trying to understand this way of breeding dogs. BTW the breeders I know are always in the red too LOL. Do you live in Germany? If so, do you offer any guarantee that the bitch is in fact pg?

Yellowrose, I suppose that you are talking about Calibra Panonia Wolf. She looks like a nicely constructed bitch. She has been for sale for a while. I do not see KKL on either parent if that is of concern (depends on registry). IP 1 is the same as SCHH1. Selling a bred female benefits the seller only as the increased value may make her easier to sell. Best Wishes, Jonah

Yes and I emailed the kennel and lost the email . I dont need a bitch and Im too picky to order a bitch,already preg., without a long research and as to who, what ,and why and when and howcome , they probably would not like all the questions. I will not but any gsd with parents KK or any quarantees, or how do I know that she is preg,. and might abbort before she gets here. Thats why I ask the question, I was interested in knowing does anyone else do it this way or buy a female from a foreign country not knowing if its the real deal. Maybe this kennel is known by others. If shes been for sale for awhile thats curious. Thats why we use middle man here to be sure u get what u want from reputable Importers. Ive always thought there was enough good right here in USA to fill anyones wants and goals.
