If the vets can find nothing wrong, I wonder if she had a false pregnancy and with the natural pressure increase and activity just did not bruise her nipples? There is no photo but it does not matter because we really could probably not tell much anyway. If there is corn in the food, it is possible that there is some very, very trace amount of aflatoxin in the food and she has reacted to that without being very ill. A certain amount is allowed including this contaminant. At high levels it can be deadly. This is only a guess. I am curious about why the vet says she would be prone to infection unless there is something abnormal in her workup. I would not do surgery on this dog until this cleared up or was adequately explained. What did the vet base the statement above on that the dog would be "prone to infection". Is he/she simply referring to the chance of infection FROM a surgery?
