probably better to start another thread.   would be easy to confuse what people
are bidding on unless they specify with each bid.  :)

I was mainly asking IF this could be done. I will start another thread with pics and details.

This is amazing!!!!

For all who ask, the statue is not bronze, I really don´t know what it is - maybe a kind of modelling mass.
I can´t read the signature, it´s maybe Henry Page/Soza or something else.
I got it as a youngster from an old breeder.

$80.00

Modelling mass? Do you mean a ceramic product painted to look like bronze? Or some other metal casting? I know if you (susie) were young when an old timer gave this to you.... we'll, it could have some provenance....? Teeth Smile I can't find any bronze sculptors under those names at the moment... so I don't think we have the right name yet....

Kitkat.... let me know what you decide how to handle your offer... I have a hardly used, good as brand new, under-the=seat Sherpa, Airline approved, in-cabin pet carrier we could work into the deal... some how.... maybe?

Happy New Year to all of you! It´s 3.00 a.m. in Germany right know - the guests are gone - the dogs survived all the strange noises...

I tried to find out something about the sculpture, still not able to read the name. I found a link, there they sell a replica that looks like my shepherd, but that one is of different seize, not marked, and it´s made out of bronze - mine looks like plaster cast ( hope I got the correct word ) painted with a bronze color. They don´t say anything about the artist though.

After all, I think, that´s not that important right now.

Forgot to mention the seize:
Length: around 26 cm / 10,24 inches
Height: around 19 cm /   7,48 inches

Hey susan, just an idea but you might try doing a charcol or lead pencil rubbing of the signature to make it clearer. Just put a white peice of paper over the signature and rub lightly with a pencil or some other insturment that will leave the signature.
