Don't totaly trust your vet's opinion on puppy teeth. Mine said that one of my mine would not correct it's overbite and it did eventually. I have know of other's also that have taken well past 6 months to correct themselves.
A slight overbite is very common in puppies. The lower jaw grows much slower than the uppper jaw. (as stated above)
