Who will be doing this research? My suggestion is to partner with Marjorie Zimmerman and Dr. Clemmons from University of Florida. Here is Marjorie's website http://www.mzjf.com/. Her home was in the path of Hurricane Sandy so she may not be reachable for while. Doing DM research is her passion as well and has been for at least12 years. Dr. Clemmons was doing research until he lost his funding due to the economy.

I failed to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I also have a dog with DM and I know how heart wrenching it is to watch your dog decline. I have yet to experience the devastation of having to let her go, as you have. My heart goes out to you. I too hope that one day this disease can be eliminated. God speed beloved Blade
