I once had a female that got out of her kennel. She was a very civil dog that wasnt the most people friendly. She stayed around the yard mostly but, when some people walked by and she became evry defensiveof the yard, they called the police. So, the ACO and police show up and try catching her, pushing her over the edge at this point, and she just takes off. By the time I got a call at work, she was long gone. I came home immediately and serached the neighborhood for 2 hours. I went into wooded areas calling for her and even searched the riverbanks at night. Nothing. After about 4 hours, I decided there wasnt much else I could do for the time being and called of the search. As I pulled in my driveway at home, the little bitch was sitting on the steps waiting for me. This was about midnight. So,sometimes the dogs will come back around after they gone off and explored a bit. This bitch had neevr done that which worried me. I didnt fathom she could find her way back. Low and behold though.... Dont be surprised if she just pops in on her own!

Best of luck ...keep looking, when you are so tired that you think you want to end the search for the day....give it some more time...Don't give up!

I hope you find your dog. I've never had one run off; I can't imagine how terrible you must feel.

Thank God the blue German Shepherdgirl wasn't missing, but hidden by her "owner". The sheriff found her last Fryday and she is at a safe place now. In a couple of days/weeks she is going to fly to the one who really owns her: ME!! Yentl's Yard
