Obviously, there was a problem with the ingredients.

Sorry it didn't work for you.

Hi
I could not make out what was wrong, Could be the food did not suit her if so it would be stupid to carry on with it when a dogs condition is going backwards and you could see it the last couple of days, The food was in minced form frozen when i got it, but had it thawed out and been frozen again i cannot say and although it crossed my mind that would be unfair to really consider that bit, I guess it is not the exactly the same as buying pure meat products in parts of the animal and feeding Raw that way, but that is just not possible here or cost effective. So back to her Kibble this morning. I did manage to cancel the 100 kilo i had ordered, but if it meant paying for it then i would have done so and told them to keep it the dogs welfare is more important than money.

Could also be the combination of first heat and new food together. I have one bitch who gets that look during every heat and then a week or so out of heat, she looks normal. She even throws up during her heat cycle.

I would probably try it when she's in between cycles so you can be sure what is hormones and what is food.

Yes to what Jenni said.  You should see my bitch now, just went through a heat, lost her outer coat, looks horrible.  A month ago she was shiny and healthy looking, and I haven't changed the feed at all.

I tried raw several times with my dogs and ended up tearing out the carpet in my home.

To this day, Hero turns his nose up at raw chicken quarters and Jyota will not eat raw chicken feet ...... it made them so sick!

Raw isn't for every dog and its good that you don't force yours to eat it.

Steve
That is too bad that the raw didnt work for you. But I am a firm believer that "if it aint broke dont fix it". Gina looked great on the Orijen.

P.S. - I sent you a PM several weeks ago. Not sure if you got it?!
