WTF is using a pinch collar "just for show"  Not bagging on SM someone else said the same shit-  Either you are training or you are not

Dawgsome, "just for show" as I stated it meant that the collar is just on the dog for appearance's sake, not for actual use in training.  And simple comprehension would have told you that.  It is not tight enough to be of ANY VALUE in training, and as was stated above, can hurt the dog this way.

Either put it on right or take it off.  That said, nice dog.

No need to use vulgar things like "WTF".

Whoa!!!!

Collars .....

A prong.  A leather agitation collar.  A Herm Sprenger chain collar.  A solid brass fur saver.  A stainless fur saver.  At least one each:  TriTronics, Dogtra, and anything else electric .... A flat nylon buckle collar.

WHAT HAVE WE GOT HERE?

WE GOT THE MR. T "STARTER KIT" is what we got!

It looks to me more like it is a toy in the mouth and on that string the handler is holding to me than even being on lead at all by the jaw position and no tension at all even on the buckle. So maybe a toy, a buckle and a prong!!

The Dog is responding to the handler so the point of leaving it on with another collar makes no difference BUT it could be the dog knows it is on and responds to it, that is a Psychological factor only
one thing i do in training on a young and inexperienced dog even on the leash which is loose at all times is to to get hold of the clip and clink it but not remove the leash, the young dog thinks it is off leash and if it decides to go then of course it cannot for it will check itself as the leash tightens, but if it stays along side then that is what it is all about do that often enough and the dog thinks the leash is off ,that way you know exactly how you are getting on with the control of the young dog without it ever getting away from you

Has anyone ever seen a loose pinch collar used in protection training to bring some F**k you up agression and fast????  The loose pinch works for that if you know what you are doing and can read the dog.

Learned that from a nice German!
