Note your Pup likes to empty the water bowl Young Izzy does the same three or four times daily it drives me mad but makes me laugh at the same time, i bang bang and her one front foot is in the water slashing it out or she dumps her ball, in and splashes it all over the Pen,
As for Shelley's husband, i expect he will get his come uppance, Cowardly jerks like him always do in the end, but lets not talk about that loser for to pass a good woman by he is a proper fool, he is better off forgot like a speck of dust, and not to make a martyr of him on the forum by mentioning him for he sure is not worth it
it is great to here you are safe keep your chin up there will be better times ahead of that i am sure

You definitely read my mind about "The Plan". I do want to go "home."
I blush to think anyone would be interested in a seminar I offered, but I do have some nice tracking history, V (100pt) scores, and I really enjoy working with new people and young dogs in that phase.
...and yeah. I won't have a stick of furniture when I get where I am going. For all I know I don't have much besides what is in my van, period.
I am still feeding the dogs the NutriSource Performance www.nutrisourcedogfood.com/products/performance I got from Steve and Connie, except for T, who needs senior/old dog food, less protein. I am pretty happy with the stuff. My more stressed dogs are actually maintaining, even gaining a teeny bit of weight on it. The concentration is such that even if they don't eat all I give them they do get a lot of bang for the bowl. They seem to like the taste. I have enough for about 4 more days. I also have Super Fuel and Kelp powder, and the Young at Heart & Joint Strong for old T, courtesy of a friend in MA.
Thanks!

I have to cowclip all stanless steel crock pots to both sides of wire outdoor kennels to keep at least some water in them..and it is always dirty , even in concrete kennels because feet and toys go in the pot ...they just love to dig out their toys...and water as well....I believe they are all related to ducks....

I can't remember who had an avatar of a pup with both feet in the water bowl but it was a cute pic.
My girl has never splashed her paws in the water...dropped a toy or 3 in it and then brought the soggy mess to me, EWWW! She is a water fanatic though.
The first day we brought her home, I set a small ceramic bowl down with fresh water, just a little because I didn't know what she would do with it. Well, later in the day I heard this odd scraping sound follwed by a thump, then I heard it again. I heard it several times by the time I got into the kitchen to investigate. Echo's water bowl was empty and she was jumping up against my cupboard doors (and scratching them!) trying to get to my kitchen sink, where she watched me get her water earlier. The thump was her falling down on her butt because when I say she was jumping up, I mean all four paws were off the floor! Not only did I realize right then that I have one smart girl but I realized just how determined she can be. doesn't matter how much water is available, if you have running water, she wants some. She loves drinking out of the pitcher I use to fill her bowl or the garden hose. She's a quirky thing and I love her dearly.
When it rains and leaves puddles on the patio, she will leap over them or tip toe around them. She doesn't like to get her feet wet unless she has her swimmy pool, then it's a whole 'nother thing! She loves splashing in it. Go figure.

I stand corrected! I thought some time ago and it's been a looonnng time ago you voiced support for the ex but I can't find the thread so maybe it was someone else. Forgive me for implying you would rather see her work it out with the jerk. I don't know you so I can't like or dislike you, only what you post and since I can't find the post I'm thinking of, I'll retract my comment. Good enuf?

1. Escape to CA: gas, food, lodging, tolls, dogs, etc.
2. Lawyer

A former training customer from out of the area dropped by the house looking for me sometime in the past week or two.
Theycalled today to see if the phone number they had was still good, since there is no sign of me, or anything that belongs to me, at my husband's house anymore, as far as they could see.
I don't think I own much anymore.

I did not try to train any dogs tonight. It wouldn't be fair to the dogs. The look on my face may be passive, but inside... no.
Auntie Shelley is so mad she could crap out a brick of C4 and a cell phone detonator tonight.
We knew this could happen. We just prayed it wouldn't, like leopards would change their spots.
Sighhhh

It sucks but in the end, it's just stuff. No we can't replace grandma's china or those old photos. Nothing can.
But we still have the fond memories and nothing can take those away.
You already have what's really important with you. Your peace, well being and five pairs of happy eyes shining at mom.
Stuff can be bought or bartered. The others can't be.

Mobjack said it best! Just get to where you want to be and settle down and worry about the rest when you can. I know from firsst hand experience that WORRY is always in the fore front. There's no way around it no matter what people do or say.
"What am I going to do now"? How am I going to be able to affor this or that"? "I have to keep my animals"! "Cannot let them go some place else"! They are your family, and you will do anything to keep them with you. I know I would! Well, we are all helping you so don't even think of losing one of them. Don't know where you are now but just know that you will have money when you need it . We're all here for you Shelley. Look for Friday!
New stuff is easy to aquire! Your dogs can not be replaced! And, neither can you!
