Steph, I haven't had any trouble with her. She listens pretty easily, really, and she hasn't tried to get on the couch or anything yet. She slept in her crate quietly last night, especially after my husband brought her crate into the bedroom last night. Aside from getting up a few times and sniffing to make sure I was there, she didn't seem to have any issues at all. Great little puppy.
Today she seems really keyed to my voice, and comes whenever I call her. Of course, so does Misty, and I have to keep her from jumping all over me and Oakley, but when I correct her, she sits, and waits to be petted, so we're making headway there. The two of them are getting along really well now, so that makes things a lot better for all of us. As Oakley's seeing-eye human, I have to make sure that her experiences, especially now, are positive ones. She walks on leash nicely, and that's great. She met the chickens, from outside the pen, of course, and they panicked, but she wasn't all that worried by the sound they made. I don't think she's going to be one of those dogs that goes into spasms on the Fourth of July. She's too gutsy for that.
We're having a blast!

Oakley seems really happy. She's my shadow. If I move, she moves. It's going to be fun to teach her stay, because most dogs aren't all that reliable if they can't see you, and she never can see, but I think we'll get it. She just loves to be near, and right now, she's under my feet, touching me for reassurance.
One accident in the crate earlier, but it wasn't her fault. I walked her around outside before I went out to mow, and she needed to go while I was out mowing. When I shut off the mower, I could hear her having a fit, and by the time I got inside the house, she'd gone in her crate and boy, was she miserable about it. She's made no mistakes in the house otherwise, so we've got a good handle on the housebreaking, I think.
The stairs aren't proving to be a problem for her. I hardly have to even help her now. I stand back and watch her, but let her do it, and she's had no trouble. I think she's memorized the steps, and she's got them down. Hills and barriers, like the fencing, are something she's learning, and that's good. We've had a pretty good first day, so I won't complain. She's not really trying to jump on us, but she does sit and lay down right by us a lot.
