I use sausages and liver cubes (About the size of our finger nails )
I boil the sausages and liver first. I then cut the sausages into dime size pieces and the liver into cubes.
Now I melt some butter in a pan , put in a pip of garlic (smashed ), and when the  garlic is toasted, add in the sausages and liver. Stir fry for a short while, remove and let it cool.

You can now keep it in the  fridge and use it whenever you want. The  liver will not go mushy.

For tracking my dogs track for their ration.

For OB i use mainly hot dogs for the adults but for pups I use a variety of items along with the hot dogs including cheese, liver, black pudding, heart, luncheon meat.

I also use balls and tuggies and vary the reward that I use even within the same session.  I keep the tuggy and the chuckit as a higher value reward hoping the dog will want to work through to this.

With pups I sometimes find they will prefer either the food or the toy so I use whichever they prefer whilst I work on getting them into the other.  i.e. if they prefer the tuggy I use the tuggy and will reward the tugging with the food.  I also throw the food so that they get to chase it making it more exciting for them.

My dog doesn't like the raw hot dogs. I found that if I buy the angus beef hot dogs and bake them (sliced), he luvs them.

I use natural balance- hotdogs and liver- and cheese pieces all chopped up  and mixed together in small pieces in a baggy-they never know what they are getting -Kaiser works for his ball and if there is a ball and food he will not even look at the food-hyperfocuses on the ball-stick plastic bottle etc.
For tracking with him I used to use treats-now he does that for his ball game for rewards too.

I use the Mini Naturals treats for training...perfect size.

I also use another grain free larger triangle shaped biscuit for a treat every now and then...just can't remember the name...

My dog has allergies and epilepsy so I have to be exremely careful about what I use. No hot dogs for my girl because of all the unhealthy additives- even in the best of hot dogs. I buy a nice big roast on sale, cook it and cut it up into tiny eraser size pieces. I portion them, put them in baggies, freeze them and thaw as needed- usually last about three weeks. She goes crazy for them. Also I use cooked beef liver or beef heart in moderation, which she loves as well, plus a little variety always helps. It takes a little time, but it definitely turns out to be a lot cheaper than buying any kind of dog treats, plus they are all natural and healthy.

The one thing I dont like about the hot dogs is that I am never 100% sure was EXACTLY is in them. Also are also really greasy. That is why I really like the Natural Balance rolls. They come in 3 flavors and the ingredience in them are good. My dogs love them too.  They are fairly inexpensive too. I use these treats for tracking mostly.

For obedience I teach all the commands with treats. I use the Solid Gold treats, chicken strips that I break up or Natural Balance. Once the dogs understand the commands I use either a tug toy as reward or a ball on a rope.

Our dogs love Merrick dried lamb or beef lung. We buy the square treats, they are easier to hand out. They are low fat, and seem pretty healthy. The only listed ingrediant is lamb (or beef) lung. I don't think I have ever met a dog who didn't like these treats. The dogs also love Zukes and other dried treats, but those are more expensive and harder to break into bite sized peices. The lamb and beef lung comes either in large pieces to break apart (filets), or in squares (training treats), very handy.
