"Self praise is scant recommendation"

When someone praises a job well done by someone else, or what they believe to be heroic, etc... it carries meaning.

People who praise themselves and their particular profession are simply advocates.
That's what trade unions are for but it's silly to demand that others buy the hype.

Teachers, Police, Politicians and seem to be offenders in this regard.

Last I heard, membership in all three of these professions was voluntary.

Well, Traflagar tell us what profession you are in.  It must be very noble and a true service to society.  What have you done lately to help anyone other than yourself?   Please, enlighten me.

Jim

If teachers don't have the most important paid job, and don't assert a large influence over our youth, WHO would YOU point to as having one of the most impotant jobs in the world? When you are a kid and someone threatens you, you call fr Mom. When you grow up who do you call? Anyone who claims they do anything other than dial 911 for a COP, I'd have to strongly suspect is a liar. Thanks!!

'Who do you call?'
I call Sig Sauer. So do the Navy Seals and SAS.

Accept no substitute.

I thanked a bunch of cops today including a K9 officer. Around 12:00 i got a phone call from neighbor telling me she called 911 cause some one just broke into my parents house (i was the only one she could get ahold of).

The cops surrounded the house but the bastard wouldn't come out so they had the K9 unit go in and he gave himself up right away. My neighbors from down the street said he screamed like a little B**ch when the K9 started barking. I say he should have turned the dog loose and let him have some fun. I would have loved to been there for that. I can't be thankful enough that they got there fast and arrested him. If not he would have made off with my grandmothers jewelry she hand made (not worth 2cents but its a family heirloom and she passed away in Feb) and some other stuff.

So to the dumb sh** you picked the wrong house and wrong people to F*** with and more importantly
To ALL the Officers THANK YOU sooo much for everything you do!  To the K9 Your the best!!!
