Cannot knock the Dog as he is not a working dog so he did okay for what it was, But cannot be confused with the real intensiity of a top Working Dog, Not so certain of the dog around the hides, was looking and hesitating on two, and as Bob says nearly at a stop on the long run, but then he is not a proper working dog so he did not do too bad
but most of all the dog was enjoying himself

For all fairness, I think this dog work is  real good!! For those who think he doesn't is a buch of stupid egonistic asshole. You think you know everything, Guess what, the more you think you know, the less you know!!!  I bet most the guys/gals that think this dog work is not good must be american!! That is the problem.

anvardean, are you talking about dog #1 or #2? With your attitude about American's, I'd have to say move your ass out if you feel that way. I see you reside in Orange County CA.

well tough for you, this is what I am talking about. You think you know everything too I guess, Let see your dog compete?

I,m intrested to hear your break down of the different sections of the routine I,d be intrested to hear your take on it. Do you do any protection training? Schutzhund? just asking to help my self better understand your opinion.

You 4pack should take your dog to where there's more than one dog compete and see if your dog place high , remember more than one maybe two so your dog can place 2!! LOL< LOL

Tough for me? WTF does that mean? You never answered which do you think is good and I don't believe I ever said, I knew everything. You seem to talk in absolutes. That I think is the problem. My dogs work isn't in question here. I have posted threads with video of my dog before, no one felt compelled to knock it.

I'd like to be able to say the second dog has great speed but since the video has been Doctored, I can't really tell how fast he is and how much is the video sped up. The dog has alot of drive and looks enthusiastic about bitework. That's nice to see always. I'd like to see more, maybe some OB, the dog outing and such.

I have been involved in the sport for quite some time now. Experienced with lots of trainer. i.e German, American, Belgian, etc... I noticed how Americans always "knows" it all and does not take input very well, as for the other, they love inputs and yes they will see if inputs are right or wrong! Americans trainers seem to take inputs as insult to their knowledge. Wise men would love input for the better only fools thinks otherwise. If you own and work with the "showline" gsd you would appreciate this dog and what it can do. If we are talking apple to apple, you would agree with me.

If you want to watch the show dog work and make a lot of working dogs look bad, then get Gottfried Dildi' protection tape and watch Jackie Rienhart's dog Niko wow he is the only conformation dog i have ever seen work like this. watch this dog come into the blind.you have to see it.then you'll know what i am talking about.

by anvardean on 12 March 2009 - 18:03

Yes I do agree with you Held, but put the training in a showline dog take much more calculated trainning.
