No I havent taken  him to the vet yet, needed the money to do so. I'm taking him for a full check up.  As for his weight, he is in the mid range of his litter mates. In this photo, he had just finished eating.
As for head trauma, not that I know of.

I've been trying to find a vet that wont cost me alot to have the x-rays done at, but I think i'm out of luck.

I'll let you know what the vet says.

Have you considered the obvious?
You have twelve mixed breed puppies.
I would have already given it peace.
You have homes for all these puppies?
Teach your daughter the responcibilities of raising animals.

Moons.

I will not kill this puppy with out know what is wrong and if it can be fixed. My daughter already knows the responsiblities of raising animals. This is her second litter and we have several different kinds of animals in the house. All were gotten when babies.

And yes, I have homes for my babies.  Had several set up before they were born.

Maybe once you find the money to take the pup to the vet, you'll find out what can be done and how much that will cost.
Don't take me wrong,  I just do things different.
Good luck.

Certainly looks like neurological problem or (hopefully) inner ear/ear infection.

Where are you?

I might be able to scare up some links that can help you.

Has this pup been like this since birth?  We've had piglets born like that, and they of course were put down.  All the best with your puppy, and let us know what the vet says.

Sorry to here about the Pups problem, but if you cannot afford to take any Dog or Pup that is ill to the Vet when the Vets expertise is needed,  then the Pups should never have been bred in the first place

First of all, I am not breeding my dogs.  My dog got out when she was in heat.
2nd of all. I have the money for routine visits, but I know this is not a routine care that he would need.

I am currently in Alabama, and I have noticed another issue with Ninja.  Hard to explain, but He would be looking in one direction, his head pointing on another and his body goes in the direction of his head. Of course the diretion that his body is going, the leg on that side is under his body.

I have spoken to one of the vets here, and he told me that he knows what I am refering to as he has seen it before, but only once. He remembers it cause of the rareity of the problem.  It is a neurological disorder caused by lack of oxygen in the uterus. Since she was pregnant with 14 pups, it was just too much. He was actually surprised that none of the other pups that survived had the same issue.

Anyway, he told me that the cost is very expensive and unless I could afford treatment that may not work, i should have him put down.

Thank you for all the constructive responses.

My older bitch was bred once by the breeder as a young dog.  Two of her puppies had neurologic signs at around 3 weeks of age.

Her puppies were in turn put to sleep.

For the sake of your poor dog.  Please have her spayed after this litter.  There are low cost spay/neuter clinics out there too.

Get the pup to the vet, for at least an exam....

My gut too says, to let this one go.....

Just my two cents...

Kathy
