Beano actually makes a product for dogs with gas...it's called 'curtail'......seriously! I'd try the yogurt, a little probiotics couldn't hurt!  jh

My Storm had the same problem when I switched her from Canidae to Solid Gold.  She could clear a room, and if we had guests over, talk about embarassing!  She would get excited, and let one rip....the cloud of gas would hang!  I kept with Solid Gold because her coat was looking great and her red was really improving.  The poops were much less and solid.  Probiotics really helped and now two months later, no more deadly stink bombs, and a gorgeous dog.

Joyce- I too really like Solid Gold for the reasons you stated.  I really don't want to change the food if I don't have to.  Not to mention it's much more convenient to feed 3 dogs all the same thing.  I agree the Solid Gold really brings out the red and I also noticed the poop much much less.  I'm gonna try the things suggested.  Thanks for your input.

I agree with Blitzen....I feed Orijen dry mixed with EVO canned and I can only thank GOD they don't all let them rip at the same time or our neighborhood would be gone for sure!!

What else are you feeding besides the kibble...and how often do you feed your dogs...I mean do you give your dogs any snacks at all...and if so...what...Also are you feeding any canned food at all...If your not feeding any snacks and/or canned food then you will have to experiment with different foods and keep close track of what the ingredients are to each...

The best thing to do is to keep a log on exactly what you're feeding each dog...how much...what snacks...what time is each given...Keep a very good log on each dog and everytime you give them a snack or anything other then the normal...everyday...kibble...Some dogs have problems with grains...some have problems with Beef...so keep a close log...

Qman- No snacks, no canned food, no table scraps just Solid Gold kibble.  I feed them all around 8am once a day.  I thought at first it may have been the Bil Jack I was mixing in the food at one point when I was trying to beef em up a little bit but I haven't fed Bil Jack in their food now for over a month and it hasn't changed the situation.  I know with people sometimes if they eat a lot of roughage or veggies it can give them gas and some have digestive problems.  I wonder if it's the same in dogs and that maybe the Solid Gold has too much veggie type indgrediants in it that it's upsetting his belly??

Thinking in terms of roughage, could he be eating some grass from the yard?  Mine get gas really bad if they eat a lot of certain types of grass.  I used to have mine on solid gold and really liked it.  Their coats were great and my very plush coated White GSD rescue actually stopped almost all of his shedding (the boy always sheds like a demon).  His coat was really white and my B&T girl looked more like she was Black & dark Red on it.  The only reason I switched was my supplier went way up on the cost (a jump of almost $15 a bag over two months) then they kept running out and were always late with my order.

The yogurt may help or you might consider going to a twice a day feeding instead of one large.
