"Rita was on the world team a couple of times" Yellow, What team? I have the WUSV listing, by handler and by dog for 1988-2006 and Rita is not listed? Shows for both WDA and USA. Maybe not WUSV, but another event?

Ingo was a successful World Championship competitor with Rita in St. Galen, Switzerland, in 1987. They had the highest protection score of any North American team that passed all phases. Bixie's grandmother Dixie was the highest placing V born in America in the first Siegershow in America. Bixie's great grandfathers were Happy von der Boesen Nachbarschaft and Mink vom Haus Witfield. Happy and Rita successfully competed in two World Championships. They placed 9th in the World in Padova, Italy, and held the high score from North America from 1984 to 1990.

Try to name any usa showline kennels/aka "brokers" & any imported dogs they have sold that made va AFTER being imported to usa & sold... The big name usa kennels breed some nice dogs that va in the usa & import some dogs that va only for their own kennel/co-ownership. If a dog good enough to va here the "big name" kennels never sell them unless the dog is done showing!

The Germans don't sell their best either until they are either over-bred, sterile, or reaching the ends of their lives or careers, gsdgermany2. That's what it's all about, breeding and keeping the best for yourself.

Blitzen, Where in the world do you get your information? There are dozens of Germany's best sold to other countries including the US.

Yeah right! After they have been bred to death and they have 5-10 pups with the same or similar lines to breed to. Why not sell him for a fat profit then? Nobody sells their best until they have enough of it around them via pups, siblings or frozen semen to dip into and another promissing dog up and coming.

Dog1, are you kidding?

Blitzen, No doubt there are many in the US lining up to buy the less desirable, but look around there are good dogs being exported all the time. Fewer and fewer come to the US because our dollar is worth less and less and the breeders in the US prove time and time again, they won't bother to use a good dog. Doesn't mean that only dogs with problems are for sale. Maybe they are the only ones cheap enough for us to buy.

Dog1, so then you would agree that it's really all about money?
