Echo, that was a smoothly conducted rabbit trail but please stay on the path. My question was not about a rescue it was about your breeding stock. Why is it an issue about the price? It should just be the cost of doing business. It's something that should have been done and researched BEFORE breeding. It doesn't have to be Sch, unless you go by SV rules. In which case it should be SCH. C'mon. Rules are rules. If you don't abide by the rules of the org. why claim to be breeding under them? It's not right. Just put them ALL through a Titling program of some kind so buyers can rest assured they won't end up with a pup out of parents with problems. If you don't have time/money for it, you probably shouldn't be breeding them.

KIDS! KIDS! Can't we all just get along.......................

Mirasmom, THIS thread is just an exchange of ideas which Echo initiated knowing the controversy it would cause. Her original post showed she wasn't interested in making this one a "not getting along" thread because SHE brought sueincc into it.
I don't think people are will to "get along" at the expense of their convictions. JMHO

No problem. Just sign your home and kennels over to me, move out, and leave the dogs you want trained. You can visit your dogs on weekends. If they can't be titled in one year, you can throw me out. I'd be ready to move on by then anyway.

Shelley....I'm up for that offer if you'll keep my husband here with you.

MI GSD-
Husbands must be securely kenneled. I charge extra for training husbands, and require an iron-clad liability release, just in case I damage them permanently in the course of training.
Husband training has not been a lucrative endeavor for me. I'm thinking the lack of a good "demo" model has kept business away in droves. Ha ha ha.

I would start by asking the training director of the club you belong to. If they cannot recommend a trainer, I would contact other clubs listed on the various national web sites, USA, WDA, DVG. Clubs are listed there frequently with the training director or a contact name. There are even adds here on PDB for people willing to title dogs. But first I would ask the training director.

Here's the listing for WDA. Region #9, which includes Oregon, has quite a few clubs listed.
http://www.gsdca-wda.org/clubs.htm
Here's the site for USA's Pacific Northwest region:
http://germanshepherddog.com/clubs/pacific_northwest.htm
Here's DVG America's site:
http://dvgamerica.com/
I would think there would be contacts here that could help recommend a trainer to train and title if a person was really interested.
