"Oddly enough, in this clip, General Powell references a 'CRISIS' on January 21/22 at 2:40 seconds. What information is he withholding?"
I'd like to know that, also. This is alarming, coupled with Senator Biden's mention of a coming crisis:
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/10/20/bidens-crisis-remarks-reverberate/
What are they not telling us?
by Do right and fear no one on 23 October 2008 - 18:10
Oh. What's the use. I am beating a dead horse. Obama is going to win, which means you are going to get what you wish for. I can not win this argument because no matter what I say, you will counter it with words of wisdom like "you have little ability to do any critical thinking".
I assume that you are related to Joe Biden, the "smartest man in the room".
I said my piece. Time will tell whcih and whom is correct.
Just remember this. George Bush has kept us from being attacked on our home soil since we were sucker punched on 9/11 (which that idiot uglydog will say was masterminded by the Jews and Bush in cahoots). Bush did this by attacking them in Iraq and other places in the world. Do you think that we have just been lucky, or do you think that those that have vowed to destroy us and reap their 77 virgins reqard in heaven, have changed their minds? Which is it? Bush's actions, Luckiness or a change of heart?
Powell just did what he did because the intelligence provided to him was faulty. That is your excuse for him. Yet, the same exact intelligence was provided to Bush and Hillary. Do you think that Bush was supposed to put on a turbin and infiltrate the streets of Saudia Arabia himself? Hillary also voted to go to war, as did almost everyone (except the messiah and Dennis Kucinich (another left wing nut job who I know personally and trust me, he is nuts!).
Your arguments do not hold water. You may know a little about dogs but you know nothing about human world affairs. Do you have any idea what it takes to prevent us from being attacked on our home soil as Bush has done since 9/11 (which Clinton could have prevented), with the freedom and rights we have here? It is a monumental task.
I would rather have some volunteer military personel fighting over there, than our parnets and children being blown apart over here.
Do you really believe that Obama is the right choice? Or is he just further away from that devil Bush than Mccain is? If you believe that Obama is the right choice then make your case with facts. Who in their right mind believes that during a depression or recession, the way to deal with it is to raise taxes? DO YOU?
Hodie and Blitzen. You have been here for a long time (off and on due to "leaving " because of arguments like this), and you have as many haters on this site as I do, so don't throw that "as usual" stuff towards me. Many many here think that you are a bitch, and leader of that click of bitches here. I never had thought that of you. I have always thought you were very knowledgeable about dogs but a little "crusty".
Maybe the only knowledge you have is about dogs. Maybe you are not good at judging people. Maybe.
I am not going to go back and forth on this or any other topic with you because, as I stated previously. What's the use. Obama is going to win, therefore I can't win.
But you and your kind are wrong about him. Believe me. Time will show it. But when it does, you will say something like I stated above. It's not his fault. He was given faulty intelligence by those darn leftover Bush workers.
Joe Biden said it best just the other day. Barack Obama is going to be intentially tested in the first six months of his administration because he is perceived by everyone overseas that he is weak and passive willed. What will you say when Putin invades a couple of more former Soviet countries and Obama just tries to reason with him? Will your answer be that as long as you get your nationlized health care, gays can marry each other and those damn rich people are paying a 44% tax rate and yours is only 16%, who cares about those people
by Do right and fear no one on 23 October 2008 - 18:10
Ya'll love doing research before you speak. So, read Obama's book and get the scoop straight from the horses mouth. Find out what he has to say about his father. About his religious upbringing. About Jeremiah Wright. About taking from the rich and giving to the poor. About his view of the country and the direction it should go. Find out what he says and thinks about "white people".
I know that I will be called a racist (already was above) and a gay basher (they are mentally ill) and a war monger (as you stated yourself, I was there and I am a dove like Powell). This stuff rolls off my back, because what you think does not matter nor influence my life one bit. I am voting and cancelling out your vote Hodie. If I go sign up with ACORN, I can also cancell out your vote Blitzen. I might even get a pack of cigarettes in the deal. Even though I don't smoke (I also don't drink beer as you insinuated).

OMG, words fail...
http://blog.hillary-clintons-voice.com/is-a-military-draft-in-obamas-future-plans-2095
From the blog:
Obama made clear that he was a strong supporter of the draft at the ServiceNation Presidential Forum at Columbia University on Sept. 11, 2008 and I don’t know why the MSM or the McCain campaign let that one slip right by. Obama on the draft speaking at Columbia:
But it’s also important that a president speaks to military service as an obligation not just of some, but of many. You know, I traveled, obviously, a lot over the last 19 months. And if you go to small towns, throughout the Midwest or the Southwest or the South, every town has tons of young people who are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. That’s not always the case in other parts of the country, in more urban centers. And I think it’s important for the president to say, this is an important obligation. If we are going into war, then all of us go, not just some.
http://www.clipsandcomment.comMark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he

Con't
“And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”
I’ve forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so I’m not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added, but this guy has it,” the Senate Foreign Relations chairman said of Obama. “This guy has it. But he’s gonna need your help. Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, ‘Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?’ We’re gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I’m asking you now, I’m asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you’re going to have to reinforce us.”
“There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision’,” Biden continued. “Because if you think the decision is sound when they’re made, which I believe you will when they’re made, they’re not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.”

Do Right...I dont say it. These people do
Wall Street Journal (1/8/1991)
"When Congress debated going to war with Iraq, the pro-Israel lobby stayed in the background, but not out of the fight.
Leaders of the US-Israel Public Affairs Committee now acknowledge it worked in tandem with the Bush administration to win a resolution authorizing Bush to commit U.S. troops to combat.
The behind-the-scenes campaign avoided AIPAC's customary high profile in D.C. & relied instead on activists-calling sometimes from Israel itself-to contact lawmakers."
-----------------------------------------------------------
"Its pretty hard to imagine us going into Iraq without the strong lobbying efforts from AIPAC and the Neocons, who think they know whats good for Israel more than Israel knows."
-General William Odom, NSA Chief under Ronald Reagan
------------------------------------------------------------
"I've never seen a President -- I don't care who he is -- stand up to the Israelis. It just boggles the mind.
They always get what they want.
If the American people understood what a grip these people have on our government, they would Rise up in Arms. Our citizens don't have any idea what goes on."
- Admiral Thomas Moorer
Former Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff under Ronald Reagan
--------------------------------------------------------------
"The war in Iraq was conceived by 25 neoconservatives, most of them Jewish, who are pushing President Bush to change the course of history."
-Ari Shavit Ha'aretz News Service (Israel) April 5, 2003
---------------------------------------------------------------
And Dumbass.
50,000 American Citizens have been killed by Illegal Invaders SINCE 911.
These Illegals came across the OPEN Border that is Being Invaded, same one that Bush & the Neo Cohens wont close while fighting a 'war on terror' or war of terror, or war on error, whichever you prefer.

Whatever, DoRight. BTW do you really think that Mickey Mouse and Harry Potter are going to get ballots on election day? No concern for those without driver's licenses in states that are going to require them this year? Is it OK that their votes won't be counted? Can you guess the races and the party of the majority of people in the US who do not have driver's licenses? If you really want to know the truth about Acorn, why don't you log on to factcheck and find out. If not, keep on keeping on.
Believe what you want. I really don't care. I'm done with this. BTW, you vote doesn't cancel out any votes other than those voting in the same state you live in. I'm in Pa, Hodie in CO, where are you?. You will be "cancelling out" one vote of one of your friends or neighbors and I'm sure you have already informed them of that. Remember the electoral college?

hahahahha!
General Colin Powell is one of the greatest military men this country has ever seen, yet DoRight trivializes him by stating he is voting for Obama because he is black. Of course, what do you expect? DoRight is the same person who posted a picture of his wife in black face with a bone in her nose and a chain attaching her to himself because he thought it was a funny costume.
With supporters like DoRight McCain doesn't stand a chance.

I have questions that are asked in the genuine interest of knowing how the rest of the world feels about us. To those that do not live in the U.S. only. Not to those that have visited somewhere or have a friend or relative somewhere "overseas", but to those that actually live somwwhere other than the U.S. Canadians are welcome to respond also
1) Does anyone in that does not live in the U.S., think that the United States of America is a great country, morally and financially?
2) Would you rather that the U.S. was not quite as strong militarily and had less influence than it does now?
3) Do you think that we Americans are a childish and spoiled people?
4) Has your country ever NOT received help from the U.S., either financially, a natural disaster or a military problem?
5) If you do not work in your country, what happens to you? Do you live on the streets? Do you go hungry?
6) Did you get to vote for your countries leader? Did the person you voted for win?
I truly would like to know the answers to these questions. You don't even have to say what country you are in. Just answer honestly. I am doing "research" to find out just how bad my country has become, if it HAS worsened in the opinion of others in the world.
A question for uglydog:
Who are you going to vote for? Not why. Just who?
