OT - 'BAMA wins US presidential election - Page 16

Most of you don't have a clue where this guy wants to take this country, I don't think you will enjoy the ride.

Well, after the past eight years it is impossible for us to do any worse. Under George Bush we have seen the national debt double, a war fought under false pretenses that has lead to tens of thousands of American and Iraqi deaths and hundreds of billions in cost, budget deficits that have soared to levels that were unimaginable when Clinton left office, an economy that is in a state of melt-down, the fiasco of Katrina, spending that mushroomed even though Bush had Republican control of Congress for the first six years and on and on.

I am entirely confident that any mistakes Obama makes it will pale in comparison to the disastrous policies and performance of Bush.

I guess we should have repeated the last 4 years for the next 4 years expecting different results. Isn't that the definition of insanity?

Bottom line, folks, the election is over and Obama won. That's the end of the story until 2012. Complain, cry, kick, scream, cuss, hold your breath til you pass out. See where that gets  you. Some of us well know the agony of defeat as we suffered that too 4 years ago when Dubya won for the second time.  Suck it up as we did and face reality - MCCAIN LOST THE ELECTION AND THE REPUBLICANS ARE S.O.L. FOR 4 MORE YEARS.  You'll get another chance in 2012.

Actually Blitzen, we are all SOL because of his (McCain's) loss.  It is clear when one is able to read four languages that in Europe its all over the papers that Obama won because example http://www.telegraaf.nl/  JONG EN ZWART STEMT OBAMA, which means:

The young and blacks voted for Obama.  

That is not a very intelligent representation of the usa they are portraying.   The Europeans are eating this up because they thrive on misery and now they hope we will get it too.  They are not rejoicing for us, trust me, I know their mentality.  When you drive a Mercedes Benz or other expense brand in Europe they automatically assume you made your money illegally. 

It was also not a landslide as mentioned by someone.   As long as the Europeans are drunk, they are fun.   I have been in a taxi from Brussels airport when a Belgian born taxi driver IMMEDIATELY asked me where i was from in English.   I answered him in Dutch from the USA.  He immediately stated if he were younger he'd leave to immigrate to the usa.   And then started in on some other civil issues the Belgians are sick off.  Foreign immigration into Belgium.  I have hundreds of such stories to counter any of the socalled safety net society struck illusionist who wan us to become European like.

If it was the first time Michelle Obama was proud to be an American in her speech, then last night was the first time I was sincerely disappointed to be an American.   I can not relate to such little awareness and naivite.   I am not a Republican, Democrat nor an Independent.  I am an American Immigrant.  And I am proof of what this great country can do for someone who arrived at 22 with $2400 to her name and some umpf to work for it. 

All the great speeches are written by someone else, Peggy Noonan is one of them, all he did was being the parot puppet. 

Once this euphoria is gone, and that will be soon enough, you might start seeing and feeling the International effects.   Someone here above mentioned that they'd voted for Colin Powell, I agree to that.  I would have too, whether he were on the D or on the R side.  Or Condoleeza Rice, that would be my first choice.   I think Powell - Rice ticket would have been awestruck! 

But a three yr Senator with a tiny resume in the real world and a mouthy VP, wanna be President himself.  Hmmmmm I can see nothing but conflict.   And if I can see it, then the international world is watching for him/them to take a fall.   Ultimately we are resented because the USA is the most powerful country in the world, and they can not do anything about it.  They hope they are going to have a say in the decisions of this country.  The French were actually polled and felt that ALL THE OTHER NATIONS IN THE WORLD SHOULD VOTE FOR OUR PRESIDENT and that NONE of the American Citizen should have that right.   (because they feel we are too stupid to think for ourselves)    See how high they think of us.   They want us to live in the same stinky potholes that they live in.   I have been all over Europe, no one is happy there.   Complaining is the nr 1 passtime.    Don't ideolize Europe or the great health care or paid vacations.  Someone is paying dearly for it. 

Hope you guys were watching the blistering promo on Oprah.   I am only watching because of this non sense of Gloria Steinem and all of the self promoting going on of all the experts.  Ah The feminist movement...   Well I let nothing stop me and I certainly disagree with most of what she is saying.

Well you better pay attention to Europe Blitzen, because your new "Messiah" has stated that you won't be alowed to keep your thermostat at 70 anymore because Europe won't stand for it. Evidently Europe is now part of the new presidency. Maybe that's where all those untracible foreign campaign contributions came from.
