" looking at redirecting those tax breaks to a new system of guaranteed retirement accounts to which all workers would be obliged to contribute."

I thought that was called Social Security...

Yep, one more required contribution fund for sleazy politicians to raid.  Just great.

You are right Mickey,

The new program will be called socialist security. ................

Half the benefit of a 401(k) is metaphysical; it gets people involved in managing part of their financial future. People who have zero reason to know ANYTHING about investing suddenly care about the market and the state of the economy.

Hey, a 401k also allows someone with some savvy to out-earn someone who made more money than them in retirement. Wise investing long term can overcome class stratification in some cases. Yet, here we are, with more evidence that democrats want to preserve class stratification so they can justify socialistic taxation.

This  just conveys the impression that the Obama campaign is just out of touch with the realities of life that the average American faces.

I'd say that Michelle isn't exactly low maintenance. Good thing The chosen one has all those campaign contributors to help pay the freight.

Yeah, Obama has contributors like Daffy Duck and Bart Simpson. Doodad Pro and Good Will also contributed. His campaign is also out of touch with campaign finance regulations.

Seriously folks.  I am really trying.  Bending over backwards, to understand what all of these miliions and millions (Obama IS going to win) of Americans see in this guy.  Is it just an American Idol mentality?  I just don't understand.

I know intelligent, normal everyday people in my circle of friends, that think he is the best thing since sliced bread.  I don't get it.  These people are not communist.  They are not morons.  They are both well off and not so well off.  But I still don't get it.

Am I so out of the loop that I can't see that I am SO WRONG for believing and seeing that this guy is dangerous?  I can't stand Hillary but I would give the government a thousand dollars today, if they appointed Hillary the next President, instead of Obama.

Not only is he against helping children that live through botched abortions with medical coverage, but he is an appeaser and believes that he can solve any and all of the worlds problems just by having a one on one conversation with any bad guy (of course there are no bad guys in his mind except for Republicans).  How naive is that?  If he is President, why will we even need a military?  He can handle it with his words of wisdom and his unique gift for being able to understand and see problems from the eyes of the bad guy.  He can reason with anyone and best them.

A lot of people say that Sarah Palin is not ready.  How can they say that when not only is she more ready than that loose lipped idiot Joe Biden (who might say ANYTHING in a conversation with other world leaders), but she is more ready than Obama.  What has he ever ran?  What has he ever overseen?  He was a community organizer (a term meaning a legal rabble rouser).  He was a State Senator and a two year U. S. Senator.  All Senators do is vote.  But he still only voted "Present" 75% of the time, apparently because he just can't make up his mind about most things (hmmm..do I shoot back or ignore those Iranians?).  He is for change alright.   He changes his mind and stances on various things almost everyday.  It just depends who is listening to him at the time.  He is for change alright.  No dollar bills, just change in your pocket.  He has plans for your money, unless of course you are poor and can't make it in life on your own.  Then he will play Robin Hood and take care of you.  I am all for helping out the infirmed, incapable and incapicitated, but not for helping anyone who is starving because they are a drug addict, alcoholic or just plain lazy.  If you starve to death and you are not incapacitated to much physically or mentally to work.  Then, oh well.  You starve in my opinion.  You should have got up off of your fat ass and found a job.  ANY job.  They are out there.  It may be a job that is BENEATH you (IYO), but there are jobs out there.  I see the signs all of the time.  Wal-Mart, McDonalds, Wendy;s, etc.  What?  Are you just to damn above flipping burgers so that you can eat?

I just don't get it.  He wants to surrender in Iraq.  He wants to not allow medical treatment for children that live through botched abortions.  He wants to play Robin Hood and take from the rich and give to the poor.  He wants to give everyone socialized medical coverage and if you do not sign up for it, he will fine you.  He wants to pursue a doctrine of appeasement with rogue nations and their leaders.  He has stated that Rev. Wright is like a second father to him, and his mentor, and that he would NEVER dis-own him.  Having said that about two days before dis-owning him.  He launched his political career in the living room of a confessed domestic terrorist.  He first claimned that he didn't know about those former terroism acts, then

by Do right and fear no one on 23 October 2008 - 04:10

claimed he did but it was so long ago that he thought Bill Ayers was rehabilitated.  Is Obama just stupid or does he just not care about Ayers past?  I believe it is the latter.  What if JOhn McCain had a fund raiser in the living room of a confessed abortion clinic bomber?  Do you think that more than 100 people would vote for him, nationwide?  Doubt it.  Do you think that the Rep. Party would have him at the helm.  For sure not, even though they are anti-abortion.

Mrs. Obama is clearly a racist.  Rev. Wright is clearly a racist.  Bill Ayers is clearly a domestic terrorist.  ACORN is clearly deep in to voter fraud.  What does this say about Barack Obama?  His decisions about who to affiliate with.  I saw a video tape of Obama at a gathering of only ACORN organizers, and he told them that when he is in the White HOuse, they will all be there helping him to formulate the direction of our country.  Is there a more dim-witted gourp of people in the world, than ACORN workers?  ACORN hires ex-cons that did time for IDENTITY THEFT to go around and ask people to fill out registration cards, with their names, addresses, birthdays, etc.  Talk about dumb.  Barack's campaign donates 800 thousand dollars to ACORN for alledged "Lighting" fixtures and similar stuff.  Get real.  Then a reporter goes with a camera man and asks one of the ACORN workers if they ask or tell potential early voters, whom they are putting on a bus and taking them to the voting booths, if they ask or tell these voters whom they should vote for and she replies "Yes, I tell them to vote for Obama".  Obama has been told of this and refuses to even say anything is wrong with it.

The next President is going to appoint more than two new Supreme Court Justices.  This is extremely important.  Now if Obama surrounds himself with Clarance Raines (ran Freddie Mac in to the ground and made 90 million dollars for himself), Jeremiah Wright, Mrs. Obama (hated her country until so many people started loving her husband), Bill Ayers (Obama wrote a blurb for Ayers book, which is not done by strangers nor casual acquantices and whom Obama steered hundreds of thousands of dollars while a State Senator in Illinois, to Ayers stupid alternative learning school, which failed according to latter test results), launched his political career in the mans living room, and who he shared duties an rightings with on a board of a corporation with (which is dumb if you are looking to be President someday).  Heck, I could go on and on about Wright, Ayers and Michelle Obama's lack of normal American character.

I just don't get it.  Don't normal people understand that poor people do not hire people.  Rich people and corporations do.  Don't they understand that if you raise taxes on rich people and corporations (including small business') that the rich and the business' are not going to take the hit in income?  They will just tac on the amount of their products that covers the extra taxes they have to pay, making the consumer actually pay the new and improved taxing of the rich and business'.

Don't you dim wits get it.  I will repeat it.  If you raise the tax on business', they will just raise the price of their widgits or what ever they sell or provide.  Therefore  you will be paying those extra taxes.

Don't you understand that the rest of the world wants Obama to be the next President, because the rest of the world wants the U.S. to be weaker.  Don't you understand that no one wnats the U.S. to be as strong or stronger than it is?  Even that idiot Joe Biden knows that his sidekick is perceived as weak.  That is why he just recently said that "Mark my words, Obama will be tested within the first six

by Do right and fear no one on 23 October 2008 - 04:10

months of his Presidency.  It will be a GENERATED problem (meaning created just to test Obama), and that we will need the people of the U.S. to have patience because it will look like our (Biden and OBama's) response to this threat will seem at first to be the wrong response".  Now, I take that as Obama and Biden will fail to respond and instead fold or appease.  How do YOU take it?

Nope.  I just don't get it.  Otherwise normal  people fallking all over themselves to elect a man that Louis Farakahn says if the "messiah" and that the followers of Obama will be the "tools" by which Obama shapes and changes the world with.

I am not crazy about Mccain nor even Palin (I think that she does not have the Presidential caliber that I personally would choose), but she would do just as good a job (or better) than Mccain, Obama and Biden.  The Republican party really screwed up by nominating Mccain.  We should have nominated Huckabee.  He is quick witted and would make Obama look like a fool in a debate.  Mccain is thoughtful, intelligent, honest and qualified, but he is not "quick" with the responses and refuses to sully his reputation with attacking Obama's obvious and bad decisions in his past and present.  Mccain wants to be liked by everyone.  That's BS.  What happened to straight talk, mister Mccain?

If I hear Obama call Mccain George Bush III one more time, I think that I will puke.  Mccain has been a thorn in the side of Bush for 8 years.  Of all the republicans, Mccain is the farthest from Bush.  JOe Biden is closer to Bush's policies than Mccain.  Obama loves telling how Mccain has voted in line with Bush 90% of the time, but fails to note that 80% of the time, those votes were for silly things like naming Post Offices after deceased so and so, or other routine things that Congress does.

Additionally, if I hear Mccain say "my friends" one more time.  I will puke also.  Get a grip on yourself man and talk straight, without worrying about being perceived as a racist.  Rev. Wright is a HUGE thing in Obama's character and decision making ability.  Use it.  You have lost already anyway.  I believe that Mccain just doesn't care about winning.  He just wants to go down in history as someone who had integrity.  It is all about him  and his reputation and not about us and our country.

My God, I wish Huckabee or Hillary were in the running.

Are you freaking idiots voting for Obama?

by Blitzen on 23 October 2008 - 12:10

Uh, MAYBE it's YOU, Do Right, who doesn't get it and not most of the "idiots" including your friends who are voting for Obama?

Check out  both candidates - www.factcheck.org.  Have you even bothered to confirm all your accusations? I don't think so, sounds to me like all your "facts" are taken from Corsi's book, most of which has already been debunked as fantasy and outright lies http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/corsis_dull_hatchet.html If  you are interested in facts, Here's why Obama voted against "infanticide" http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/obama_and_infanticide.html

Most of what I read here from you is nothing more than  personal opinions and rhetoric not backed by facts period. Where are the facts to back your accusations?   Why do you think Colin Powell endorsed Obama and critisized his long-time friend, John McCain, for selecting Palin and for the way he has been conducting his campaign? That should send a message loud and clear to the citizens of this country. Oh, that's right that was all about race so that negatates all the time he has worked for this country and I'll bet he wants to run for President himself one day. I know, let's ask that purveyor of truth, justice and the American way, Rush Limbaugh, he'll know.

A man of integrity doesn't court another woman while his present wife is recovering from being critically injured in an accident and a man of integrity would not accept money for a start- up campaign from a person associated with organized crime, his  present father-in-law, Hensley. As far as who each associated with, ever heard of G Gordon Liddy or Pastor Parsley or any of the other convicted felons and racists that McCain has befriended over the years? Guilty by association?

Who would you think it was Obama's fault that he was referred as the "the Messiah"?

by Micky D on 23 October 2008 - 13:10

 >Who would you think it was Obama's fault that he was referred as the "the Messiah"? <

I think Obama would be greatly respected by both sides, if he would say to his side, something like, "I am very honored that you think I'm great, but please, I'm just a man, like you.  I'm not a messiah."  Humility in a world leader is an invaluable virtue.
