I see two issues. First 39 dogs seized. Second possible legal problems for the rescue agency. The first is undeniable. The second might be hub bub by misdirected friends of the puppy mill owner.

but you have seen the pictures or you are blind ?
im disgusted seeing the photos , i dont understand how other people are not .
Perhaps keep their dogs in the same way !!!!

The pictures are disgusting. But that doesn't mean that if there are in fact dogs who were NOT owned by Dawn that were seized, that their rightful owners should not have the right to take them home.

What I would like to know is, if the dogs were in such "horrific" conditions(the dogs themselves, not the crates) why is it they were only able to charge her with one...ONE count of failure to provide food/water?
They(the shelter) also lost in the recent hearing. Makes one wonder what they really wanted out of this so called "rescue" & just where/who has the dogs now? They are NOT at the shelter as stated in many new articles.
I'm not condoning the conditions the dogs were kept in, but there are some reports saying those pictures weren't even taken until after the shelter took over & refused to let Dawn clean/care for the dogs. So they sat in crates for over 36hrs, which would cause at least some of the mess seen in these new photos.

Its right that the rightful owners have their dogs , but i think they must have the documents filed with the AKC or SV .

Northwoods, and Hundmutter,
I am appalled that anyone is more concerned about how "appropriate" this seizure was?
REALLY? SERIOUSLY?
I am NO fan of AR, shelters , etc etc..no not even a little.
However, would you have turned and left those dogs after seeing the conditions in which they were kept?
Would you????? Perhaps you could, as well as the other people that continue to defend her (which is unreal) and
condemn the rescue of these poor damn dogs.
Also Ms Verdeschi/ Jagr or whatever her name is, REFUSES to cooperate. No identifying dogs, no attempt to
get co owner information out so they can come and get their dogs? Does this not strike you as odd, if
not utterly uncaring for both dogs and actual co owners, if there are any?
Does it not concern people that her partner Christopher Cella (who must be a real upstanding sort with
other Wants and Warrants) has done NOTHING to try and reunite owners with dogs...NOTHING. He
has left the area..like the POS coward he must be. Nice. Nice group we have there in charge of vom Hunter Haus
a hoarder and an apparently deadbeat dad, wanted by authorities . Great integrity there, eh?
She has every chance to cooperate on behalf of those dogs and whatever legitimate owners may be out there.
I mean come on..if I were in this situation.. and I wouldn't be, but let us just say...I would be FRANTIC to get to
any of my co owners to get them the dogs.
Perhaps you are different?
For now, there is a stay until the court date. So everyone waits.

Does any of you even know any RIGHTFUL owner? A lot of hearsay, but nobody KNOWS...

by Geck on 21 February 2014 - 19:02
WHERE ARE THE RIGHTFUL OWNERS ? MISSING ?

by Victory on 21 February 2014 - 19:02
Susie,
That is the point. No way to know because the "alleged" hoarder, Ms Verdeschi aka Jagr will not
come forward with the info at this time. She intially DID surrender the dogs, then with the help of
her buddies, "lawyered up" and decised to rescind the surrender..dogs , co-owners be damned.
So they sit, and they wait. I hope anyone that has a co ownership with her, with a legitmate claim
gets their dogs back. NOBODY wants to take dogs from anyone that may have somehow been
caught up in this.
This is a "worst nightmare" for any co owner, or stud dog owner or RESPONSIBLE breeder..
knowing that somehow one of your own has ended up in a horrible situation or in a shelter
and you cannot get to them. I feel for people in this type of situation. I cannot imagine.
