4pack: You appear to have MISSED the point, again. The photo's above, especially the ones I pointed out, have excellent hind angulation, AND THEY ARE WORKING DOGS - not impeded by their hind angulation. GET IT? probably not!

by jennie on 23 January 2009 - 17:01

In my opinion those pictures of the working dogs are NOT something to strive for, does the standard say a GSD should look like that? If so, I don´t care about that standard, I prefer the dogs with a more natural look, luckily there are plenty of those;)

Here is a dog from 71, and below is a more recent dog, looks basically the same because they have been breed not to a standard that people have different opionions on, but just plain old common sense and for work and health foremost.

I get alot more than you think, including your non answers. Those speak volumes. How long before the angulation starts to affect the work or health of our dogs? What SV God decided this angulation was superior to the flat backed dogs? What is wrong with keeping the dogs the way they were before the Martin Brothers? When the WL are all angulated and crippled, where will the solution to fix them come from?

All serious questions I would love answers to.

 jennie:

The GERMAN SV is quite rightly the custodian of our breed "THE GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG" At the annual German Sieger Show, the largest single breed SHOW in the World, the SV National Breed Warden, determines the interpretation of OUR BREEDS STANDARD in practical and VISUAL terms, FOR THE WORLD TO SEE. Anyone else's opinion that DIFFERS from that interpretation is WRONG. Perhaps you cannot understand that, if so, the problem is with YOU!

Videx:

Again YOU miss the point you can,t prove or ask for any thing untill you address the problem of Judges not judging to the standard you know the standard that little thing you show folks tend to a interpt with WIDE EXTREME now don,t cry and stomp your feet and say "your not seeing my point" your point can,t be seen until you admitt that most show lines arent held to the written standard... Now I don,t expecpt a answer from you because it will destroy your whole purpose of this thread.

QUOTE: I call on every WUSV Club around the World to push and PUSH hard for this proposal to become mandatory, ensuring it is placed on the AGENDA of this years WUSV meeting. I also call on the SV to support this proposal, and the FCI member Kennel Clubs around the World to support the introduction of this proposal. YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE!

Go ahead , I bet they are already waiting for you and will be very happy to talk to you,
especially in the way you do this here.
I wish you good luck, you will need a lot of it.
