AGAIN, I was the one that STARTED THIS THREAD!! BY ACCIDENT!! I meant to do a search on here for Drago but accidently, in my very tired lack a sleep state, posted this thread instead of doing a SEARCH. I did not mean to start this thread, but it has been very interesting in between some of the bickering. Not everyone is going to love Drago.... or Bomber.... or any other dog for that matter. Why??? Because we are human and have our own opinions. People have commented on here what they LIKE and do not LIKE about Drago.... again that is their OPINION.... I have not seen anyone be condesending or belittling Drago in anyway. There are things I do not like about Drago, but again those are my feelings and beliefs... and I should not be belittled for how I feel.

You asked about DM testing. I have DM tested my Drago pup (Ice) and he is DM CLEAR. I have also prelimed both his hips and elbows and they are... HIPS - GOOD and ELBOWS - NORMAL.... this was done thru OFA when Ice was 11 months old. I have also done his dental thru OFA and he is FULL DENTITION.
I do agree that Drago is a big dog and does seem to produce big males. Ice is 76 pounds at 14 months old... Ice's dam is on the smaller or medium size, so this I feel helped with the overall size of pups produced in Ice's litter. I am happy with Ice's size, as he is not to large and I do not think he is going to be big as an adult. He should top out about 82-85 pounds. I will say that Drago is very agile and quick for his large size. There is one thing that I do not care for on my Drago pup is his croup. Ice has a steep and short croup. So Ice moves short in his rear when gaiting.... He has an ambling/pacing gait in the rear (at least this is how I describe it) this is the one thing I would love to change on Ice.. Ice is however, very agile and quick like his sire. Ice does have some food intollerances as well ( I am not saying that this is from Drago, it is just the hand Ice was dealt)... But as I have said before, as well as other people... NO DOG IS PERFECT. I do really like Ice and his goofy and loving personality. Although Velcro the cat isnt to thrilled with Ice's "energetic" personality.... but that is a different story....

You said in the second post on this thread... "I heard that Gary recently sold him. Does anyone know who is his new owner(s)?" To me, and alot of other people on this thread, it made is sound as if Gary did sell Drago. Now that you have said that is what you "heard" and just wanted to know if it was true or not. This is the interent and we can not hear the tone of voice, see any expressions, we can ONLY go by what is written and how things are worded. If you would have written "I heard that Gary recently sold him, is this true?" It would been taken as a question not a statement... I am not picking on you at all.... just stating how I see it. Make sense??
This has been a very interesting thread... with alot of feelings, opinions, and facts about Drago.... as well as other dogs. Although this thread is suppose to be about Drago only.... even though I did start it by accident.. For the most part everyone has been polite and acceptant of how other peoples feeling and opinions. Lets hope that the little bit of bickering and snide remarks are a thing of the past.
I am very curious to see other people Drago pups..... or adults.... what they like.... and do not like about them... maybe JUST maybe we will see some pictures and videos of other Drago pup or dogs are well....

Fine and dandy one likes this, one likes that...to each his own, but,
It's real poor taste, when one breeder talks down, about another breeders dogs,
To me, speaks volumes about 'their' character, NOT the dog!
I have been admiring Bomber, for years. Long before any of the so called hype.
I spoke with Parrish about Drago, he agreed, Drago is a fantastic boy...
No bad mouthing the competition.
IF I were to get another dog, Drago is what I would be in for. And it has nothing to do with sport. But EVERYTHING to do with 'correct' dogs!

Jyl, I respect your comment. Very well written. You are right a person's tone of thought, voice and intent can not be heard when written in a message. With that said, we all know we are on the interent and should keep that in mind BEFORE accusing people of what we THINK they meant. I really did NOT mean anything more than to ask if anyone knew who the new owners might be IF it was true. By asking IF anyone knew the new owners I assumed peole would know I did NOT know the true facts. I apologize for not expressing myself more thoroughly. I really do.
Good luck with your puppy. I hope he is everything you hope he will be. I have heard both good and the not so good about both Drago and Bomber. However it is nothing that hasn't been said before on this thread. I think the problem is some people can not accpet the fact that there is NO dog without fault regardless of how awesome they think he is. Once again, good luck with your puppy. Keep us posted on his progress.

kitkat,I also have several Bomber progeny that we love. We are very lucky to have these 2 high quility studs.

LukasGs very nice looking new boy he has that classic Drago progeny look to him, please share any vids you have of him playing etc.down the road and reactions of the world around him if possible and if you dont mind me asking what is the female he came out of ? Jyl nice report on confirmation and movement of your pup was OFA willing to give you a prelim at only 11 months or did your vet say the Xrays looked nice for hips and elbows and are you willing to share who your Ice,s Dam is ? I,m always interested in what Females Drago appears to be producing the best with ,one thing that has not been brought up so much is do his progeny enjoy swimming and how are they in company of other dogs have there been some progeny that show alot of desire to fight other dogs or do they play nice in the sandbox ? One last thing for thoses that know. How well are Drago,s uncles producing and if there are many in the states from them also like Pike or Nick,I thought I saw that Nick was owned in a Kennel in the midwest somewhere but have no clue if he produced well or not, I Looked up the Del Lupo Nero kennel on the internet in Europe but cannot see that they are producing many current litters at this time.

Oh I forgot JYL what kind of foods does your Ice not do so well on ? What kind of reaction like runny poop or any puffy eyes ?

Lukas:I like Hellions!
Keep us updated with pics and videos..
Love that look in his eyes...
What kind of food are you gonna feed him , also.
feeding pups and gsd in usa is becoming a big issue if you do not feed raw . and raw is time consuming.

Kitkat, what are you talking about??? We were all having a debate on a subject and I think people were making good points on both sides, must somebody write in crayon for you to understand nobody was " bad mouthing the competition" so can you really tell my character because I have questions about a subject?? I made some points, some people agreed some disagreed but you actually seem to be taking this all very personal, if that's the case stay of such threads find a nice quite place and burry your head in the sand so you don't have to read things you dont agree with.
