Shtal,,

They are not chosen for an opportunity  ...they are brought..

You have not answered my question..Are you planning to..?...
Here it is again..

..a certain person is near dead drowning in the sea..Jesus arrives on the scene in a boat. As the person is overwhelmed by the sea, and near death, Jesus ...

#1...throws the person a life jacket. Using their own strength they get themselves to the boat and save themselves...

or

..a certain person is near dead drowning in the sea..Jesus arrives on the scene in a boat. As the person is overwhelmed by the sea and near death, Jesus ....

#2...Jumps into the sea and brings the tired and weary person to the boat ...

or

..a certain person is dead at the bottom of the sea. Jesus arrives on the scene in a boat. As the person is lying dead on the bottom of the sea, Jesus...

#3...goes to the bottom of the sea, brings them to the boat, breaths life into their dead body, and SAVES the person...

*Which of these scenarios best describes what you mean by " free will " ???...

* Which of these scenarios best describes what scriptures teaches about the state of an unregenerate person and their ability to believe the Word..

They are not chosen for an opportunity  ...they are brought..

That is why the explanation I provided in my post about how they were brought to Christ and to whom Father gave opportunity.

And to answer your question I would say option number 1# in your post

Shtal.

You are double talking IMO,,As hard as I try I have not found an adequate way to communicate with you ...I guess I will leave it at that,,I do not feel that you have answered my question. I hear double talk,,I do not think you intentionally mean to frustrate me lol,,, so I will not hold it against you..Lets just leave it at that,,,

I do not believe in free will where faith is concerned,,So we will not see eye to eye on this topic..

Deanna,,:)

Deanna,

Your original post/question it has not been directed at me and I forgot about this whole questioner stuff, so at first I was confused until you actually clarified by reposting, my bad. But in my own words free will is you can choose your own path in life, Jesus Christ does not force people to believe/serve him. (They don't have to accept Jesus Christ help in the boat situation of your story)

btw, I had no intention to make you frustrate.

Here is Biblical free will vs. humanist free will; this is my old post, some of the posts I save on my computer.

Holy Spirit (God) gives freedom to people from sin; we are reading 2 Corinthians Chapter 3, verse 17. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty.

Liberty is a cherished of the dream of all human races; all people claim their liberty, and very often young people also labour/rush for liberty of their independency. Liberty divides into two categories.
1st measurement of liberty: You are free, do whatever you want, independently you can do “Good” or “Evil” and people call this true Liberty. Nobody is standing on your throat/soul and nobody is saying to you no or stop. “Whatever I want I do so”

2nd measurement of liberty: It’s called restricted form of liberty; this liberty is free from sin and from all sinful habits - through execution of God desire to our soul. God says that your liberty should NOT enslave your spirit, chosen liberty by your will - should bring your spirit to the control but not your flesh that desires to consummation of intentions. God offers to all people, not the liberty of direction but the liberty from sin and this liberty is bring in by Holy Spirit (God).

Where the Holy Spirit settles then their comes liberty; liberty is - not being attach to evil ways.
