It sure is easier to sit behind a computer screen and rant and rave about those who are "doing", and to make up lies, than it is to actually do something meaningful, isn't it? And so easy for people to see who builds and who tears down to throw rocks.
I apologize to the serious GSD fanciers on here for my presence bringing drama. I was an animal control officer for 20+ years, and work closly with law enforcement who are often at my home, so obviously the "horror stories" told by those who dislike my stances on culling, puppy milling, dog fighting, crating and shock collars are not true. As I have stated before I am proud of my work with dogs, and hide nothing. Anyone with serious questions may contact me as I am always willing to talk dog or have visitors drop by. I love positive, serious dog folks!

I'm not a wannabe anything. I was in the dogs, before you knew what a bulldog was. You are the POSER. FYI, anyone who has been in the dogs for over 6mos, knows that Patrick didn't fight dogs.
An AC Officer for 20+ years?....That sure makes sense. You have the personality for it.
I do owe the Petbull forum, I criticized earlier, an apology. Tatonka Kennels is worse than a BYB. Anyone who would sell Jessup a pup, would sell to anyone, and is a Peddler pure and simple.

Diane, you're calling Abhay a wannabe? ROFL.
GSDSRULE....yeah, it was one of my prouder moments, lol, right before I got kicked off that forum. Or a few days anyway. It can describe so many things today, especially in this country. Look at our dogs, our morals, our ethics....all watered down to the point where hardly anyone stands for anything, we're all so afraid of our own shadows. There are many tenses to the word, as well.

There are some bad pits but probably just as many bad poddles, or goldens, etc

Most people don't have dogs who will escape on purpose just to break INTO another dog's kennel to kill them. Something to think about. It's a whole 'nother ballgame w/dogs who think like that. How many people would worry about that??? Yet you have to, to keep these dogs. And they are well worth the extra work!!! I'm not complaining- I'm just pointing out that different measures are considered responsible among different temperaments

As Jenni said, Aggression has zilch to do with Gameness.
Gameness is determined in the womb. Gameness can be measured and proven, but it cannot be bestowed.
There are Game dogs, who will get along and play with other friendly dogs. The great majority of the fight crazy, over the top dog aggressive Pits are not game. A Hot, fight crazy Pit looks intimidating, but when he becomes tired, frustrated, hurt, or a combination of the above, he will most likely quit.
Most every Bar and town, has a Hot , Aggressive human. As long as this tough guy is winning, and fresh, he is a Bad Mofo. Put this same tough guy in a ring, cage or Pit (Street) with a real fighter, and his true gameness will soon come to light.
Now, I'm not saying that a Hot, Aggressive dog cannot be Game, but "aggression" in itself, has nothing to do with Gameness.
One must be willing to boldly fulfill any incessant desire, the magnetism of which is so intense that it overtakes every fiber of his existence. There is neither an obstacle substantial enough, nor a distraction powerful enough, to justify a cessation of the journey. The only legitimate impediment is death itself. One’s persistence must not subside until his deed is complete, or until his final breath has exited his physical body.

"Angel of Death"!!! Funny stuff! I don't usually reply to this kind of wannabe junk, but just to set the record straight for anyone seriously interested, Pat Patrick's case was dimissed however, the judge stipulated he could not bring suit for the death of his dogs against the humane society/sheriff's office which charged him for three reasons:
a) it was HIS (Pat's) decision NOT to bond his dogs out, he allowed them to be killed despite having the money to do so
b) he proudly proclaims to be the breeder of numerous dog fighting "champions" in his ads
b) the judge determined there was sufficient evidence of WHAT HE WAS CHARGED WITH to support his dogs being seized and ultimately destroyed after he decided to deserted them
This from someone who was there (me), saw the dogs, tried to help them, etc. Interestingly enough, no one else besides BadRap offered to help the dogs... And that includes the whining poster. Nuff said.
OK guys, this thread has really strayed from the topic I was posting on. It is very obvious that there are some folks out there who dislike me and the hard stand I take on dogfighting and other issues. Fair enough. Hardly anyone on here knows me, and to be hit with the wild chit that a few posted I don't blame anyone for raising an eye. Like I said, look at my sites, drop me an email, give me a call... When you consider that I have had film crews out here (covering my work with the dogs) from Oprah, 48 Hours, McNeil/Lehrer News Hour, and a dozen other news shows/channels, plus there are state troopers who chose to leave their K9s here rather than board them at their own kennel, well, all the "horror stories" began to look like the sour grapes they are.
So, as I am way too busy to waste time with The Sour Grape Brigade, unless this post gets back on topic, I shan't waste time here. Hope to see you on some other, informative thread! : )
