Oh there's alot of hungry people in our country and granted if they are hungry enough they will eat  a horse.Most of us are not that hungry ..Yet .I would also eat the other things listed above if it meant my survival or death.Some of those countries that eat dog and cat eat it as a delicacy not as a last resort .It fetches a fine penny for the pick of the litter, thats not culling .Thats culture.

I've been there for halal preparations.  Both kosher and halal..........   Used to sell pasture raised goats and veal to some of the Seattle specialty markets.

An interesting web site I found shortly before all commercial horse slaughter for human consumption was shut down in the U.S.
