Kerschberger

by Kerschberger on 05 November 2008 - 20:11

My initial best guess is that we will see an upsurge of hope.  This will be unjustified, but understandably so in an athmosphere of an unstable economy.    This quote below is what we are facing.

Are you all mass hallucinating?  We just became a 3rd world country and welfare state.  Congratulations.

I literally had nightmares last night.

I left, no FLED Europe, (that includes over rated as noted somewhere above Belgium) in 1981.  I tried to get a decent job, but with 500, yes, FIVEHUNDRED applicants on average applying, an inexperienced 22 yr old doesn't stand a chance.   After the third try, I said, "the hell with Europe and its socialism" and took my chances here in the usa.  There is no dignity and honor in being unemployed in my book.   I worked my way well up, mostly self employed.   In Europe for what I did here, I would have had to stay in school, get a serious diploma to even open a clothing store,&  taxes would have raped me.  In Europe you need a diploma for EVERYTHING worthwhile.  They are so strict, people live in fear, consistently hiding their extra incomes from their governments.  Whomever was praising Europe does not work there.  The stress is beyond measure, the competition is so fierce, you better kiss some serious ass or you will fail.   I am not an ass kisser, so I left.

The property I own here would be multi million Euros in Europe and only would be for the very rich.   They live like rats on top of each other.  I become claustrophobic every time I visit, and those visits are short.  Gun control.  Well good luck, I won't give up mine.  I plan on retiring in an off the wall country, and the sooner the better.

I believe you are all confused to have voted (waste of time, being the electoral college institutes the President) your popular vote for someone with THREE yrs of JUNIOR senator experience. Ahmadinejad must be shaking his head while laughing his ass off!    It has been a bad choice, and then to have congress and the senate over run with democrats, to add the aging Supreme Court Justices.    What do you really think this will do for YOU in the long run.

Everyone who wasted their vote will see this in a few yrs, I lived it.  Once you are in it, its too late, and all you can do is leave IF you can, as I did.   He is going to be the powerful Democrats' puppet.

Sure there are concerns on my part about all the subjects that are on your minds, Energy Independence, Employment, Wars, Health Insurance, Poverty, Education, Globalization, Freedom, but, to have that in the hands of one party deciding for all of us where certainly there are pl

plenty of free thinkers knowing better and more who will be excluded of the decision making process.  That is not a democracy.   That is not balanced.

To add to this, it was during the Clinton yrs that the financial mortgage market rules were loosened.   I was a mortgage broker and baffled by how easy it was to get mortgages.    I stopped doing mortgages as in 1989 the Berlin Wall came down, people in CAlifornia lost their work from layoffs of the aerospace Companies  and there was no work due to the escalating effect onto the other industries.    It was localized to California then, thus the effects were not felt world wide as they are now, but it was the same thing.   But we like to stick our heads in the sand and HOPE instead.    Well you better hope that these four yrs fly by fast.

Steve1---you do make Belgium sound wonderful.....would you hate us too much if we sent Uglydog & a few others over there for an extended visit? Poor kid, his parents must have done something terrible to him to inspire such anger. And he's a smart guy, too! Try using your powers for good, Ugly!  I'll bake you some cookies, hun, now go play in your room for a while. These attitudes are the things that wil try to stymie the most important progress we Americans have made in quite a few years. I think very many of us have been slogging on, trying to do all the good we can do, kind of embarrassed to hold our heads up too high, because of the position our government & our history have put us in. For the first time in a long time, I can stand up tall again, & it feels wonderful. For the first time in a long time, I feel an election was won, & not sold, or given away to apathy. I, too, admired McCain's concession speech, as I admired him, before the polictal machine devoured him. I can remember remarking to my husband at one point in the campain, has the GOP lobotomized McCain?...Because he didn't even look like himself, saying some of the awful remarks attributed to him.....if he had run as his old self, I'm sure he would have made greater inroads. But, that's water under the bridge now. We have our first African American President. Many of my friends, both white & black, wept tears of joy, & relief, last night. The world feels full of promise, like spring time, instead of fall. Now, if we can put down our differences & work together, what might we accomplish? Anything is possible! I refuse to let the nay-sayers ruin my day today! Because last night proved to me beyond all refutation, that we optomists are in the majority. Perhaps now, we can hold our heads up as citizens of the world again!!! jackie harris

AHHAAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!  Did you guys read where stupid Ugly said ""Thankfully, they didn't meet up with some angry White Skinheads or they'dve been put in the hospital"

Oh Ugly, you've outdone yourself.  Your sad little wet dream is purely pitiful.  You are such a joke.  Thank you so much for coming back and posting your innaopropriate and filthy lies about the Holocaust on this thread.  Thank you so much for posting that rediculous hoax about the "Black Panthers".

I thank you Ugly because no matter which side of the election fence people are on, we can always count on you to be so utterly wrong,  we all know we stand together, opposite you.

IT did not have the effect I think we all hoped for, not even some fresh material. And once again Ugly, spare us the gore, I will even say, PLEASE. Seems like something interrupted your sabbatical, and not in a good way.
