I'd never even heard of this site before this post; upon searching through I found several of my dogs, and the dogs of colleagues (complete with watermark, no less!) there!
This is going to stop. Pedigrees... those fall under "shared information." Uploading pics that only exist on my websites and PDB -- then charging for access? That's gone way too far!

OKKK, I knew I've seen this site somewhere on this forum. I put the web addy in search to search the forum. I found it just as I thought. I read through a lot of the post and it looks like a lot of you, including ME, put our own dogs on there. This is the starting message copied and pasted of that thread that started the whole thing! Alot of us who said we never added our dogs, did infact enter our own dogs and must have forgotten. At least I had forgotten that I did. Put the web addy in search to search this database and find the thread and see if you added to it!

I never gave them the right. I posted her to this site and this site only. I own the dog and the photo and as far as I am concerned they have NO right to add it to their site.

Someone with a similar problem reported the theft as a term I had not herd before... " cybersquating" ( not sure of spelling ).... still it is not from what I understand a direct copy... have not seen the site myself.
The violater in that other case was punished and made to remove the stolen content. but they came back up by changing a few things, and now are online again.
I think the biggest problem is the law.... it really needs to catch up to the times.
Data is the one of the least protected things.... the thing is that the images are not really being used for their artistic merits but as " Data" to know what the sire aunt, cousin, progeny etc of one dog were like in relation to others. But this is cybersquating if they are just bulk copying what exists on one site to place it on another.

*grins* even if I had put my dogs' info up there and forgot about it, I don't think I'd be forgetful enough to omit part of their names, then list my V1 female as a male.
I might get confused sometimes... but c'mon I'm not that old yet ^_^

Shepher Woman. I did not enter my dogs there but they are part of that database. And I certainly would never had entered pictures in a blurred, distorted view. Perhaps a few people did and forgot, but not near the number that are saying otherwise.
