WTH? WHERE IS THE GOODBYE THREAD? - Page 12

Once, one of the big AR leader / spokesmen got up and made a speech on a university campus (where these things usually are held), and he made an impassioned plea that people get behind a movement and letter writing campaign to go easy on some convicted ALF / ELF activists.. He gave an email address (his) and I took a look at the content on the server, which was in Canada..

I kid you not.. This was very soon after the World Trade Center attacks, and right there on the server's home page was a celebration of the World Trade Center attack ("9/11"), complete with a very colorful graphic (artist's rendition) of the ruins, complete with flames and billowing black smoke and an American flag in distress.. I was shocked, but not surprised. This was on a Canadian server, by the way. ALF / ELF activists were very active up there (thinking they were safe). So, I once I got onto this server, I started following links. To be honest, I could only find a little bit of animal rights stuff on there, but lots and lots of anti-American stuff and links going to sites celebrating the great leaders of the movement, like Marx, Lenin, Mao and the like. A lot of stuff also with sites sympathetic to the Palestinian situation (anti-Israel / anti-USA). There it all was, just as I had suspected.. Why? Because some of the "animal rights" rhetoric I had seen I immediately recognized as classic Marxist / anarchist rhetoric. Folks.. It's a game called, "connect the dots".

So, there it is.. Up until this time, I really didn't have any axe to grind against communists, even. But don't talk trash and do dirt on my country! I am VERY patriotic, at heart, and proud to be an American! So, if these are the same people who are attacking my country, and they want to attack dog breeders, then I for one say: "You got a fight on your hands". I know that the people I actually dealt with in my situation were either self-interested parties, or proxies for a radical social movement. I know that the same people hate my country and want to see it brought down, by any means possible.. whether saboteur and terrorism, or legal / legislative and economic attacks. I know a lot of people differ with this opinion, and that's your right. I for one remember this sad time in my country, and I have been keeping my eyes wide open.

I actually do have a real appreciation and love for the law. I do. I respected my agreement with the courts when I made the plea and I kept my end of the bargain. That's IT!!! There is NO MORE to it! I'm sorry if some of you don't like it, but NO ONE said that I could not ever have dogs or animals, again. I'm retired, now and I have a lot more time than I did back then. Looking back, I don't know how I did everything I did, except that I remember it was very, very difficult at times. I made heroic efforts. And, if it wasn't enough, I'm sorry! People make mistakes! I for one never liked to take dogs in for euthanasia. I did it, but I hated it. Anyone who says that euthanizing dogs is a good thing is very misguided, I think. They surely never asked the dogs' opinion on the matter. So, I was too soft to be in this business, I admit. I didn't have enough of them put down, I guess. I tried to be sensitive to the feelings of others, who thought it was wrong. Look what that got me!!! If you are ever in a business of your own, dear reader, of any kind at all, then take care of business and don't listen to the hand-wringers. It'll get you into big trouble and then they will mock you and try to hurt you even more..

GET A CLUE!!! Don't you people realize that I am not trying to convince you of anything? I'm not even hoping to "redeem" myself, because I don't have any reason to care!!! I'm at the end of my career path, now, and I am not in the dog business, or active in it's social circles, either! I don't need anything from any of you, and I don't give a rat's ass!

What I AM doing is telling a bit of MY side of the story, which is also the DOGS' side of the story, and I'm using you guys as a sounding board to debate the points!!! YOU are the ones who started it.. I didn't. But, since you did, then I answer!

And, I have not deleted any posts or comments, nor edited them. Probably Oli did, but I didn't ask him to. I just suggested that he start up a dating / personals section.. That's it!

And, if any of you want to put your personal information and picture (ID) on a server anywhere out there where you don't have to, then learn by these threads, and don't do it. For one thing, servers are not really so secure. But, if you want to do that sort of thing, like posting pictures of yourself and your real name and information, then at least do it with a relatively secure server, with an administrator who is actively monitoring and updating his service and actually knows how to program and write scripts. That would be Oli, I think..

I don't envy Oli his job, by the way. Awful behavior from the children out here.. It's even worse and more ridiculous on the GSD section, sometimes.

I think he needs to draft some kind of rules to control the behavior and he needs to start suspending some people for being too provacative. I think he is glad enough to get paid for all the page clicks.. but too many people are being driven off the discussion boards by all the nastiness. Some are even starting their own discussion groups, because they are done with it.

Oli, stop allowing the children to tear down what you've built up! It's hurting your traffic. These people are destroying community, not building it!

Did some say we should build a better community of animal abusers? Now that the winds brought this up I think any convicted animal abuser should be banned from this dog forum.
