Secrets of the temple By William Greider
This ground-breaking best-seller reveals for the first time how the mighty and mysterious Federal Reserve operates -- and how it manipulated and transformed both the American economy and the world's during the last eight crucial years. Based on extensive interviews with all the major players, Secrets of the Temple takes us inside the government institution that is in some ways more secretive than the CIA and more powerful than the President or Congress.

Maggiemae,
you are very ignorant and must have been sleeping during Bush's term. I am a replublican and I truly regret ever voting for that scumbag.
Do you how many people threaten to kill Bush and how many tried, a lot of them. Bush likes the twinkle down effect, which is not working.
You may or may not like our current president, but you can not honestly defend Bush.

9 years ago Bush the retard sets about reversing everything Clinton. At the end of his 2 terms, Bush has managed to double the national debt. The debt accumulated from George Washington thru Bill Clinton. While leaving Obama two wars. A recession. The largest finical crisis since the depression. Yet, blame Obama. He's been in the white house for how long. 5 months and he hasn't solved the problems George the retard had 8 years to create.
When are you morons going to figure out you can't cut taxes and keep spending without increasing the national debt. I hear this crap about republican policies create jobs go to
http://blogs.wsj.com/economics/2009/01/09/bush-on-jobs-the-worst-track-record-on-record/
The wall street journal owned by right wing nutjob Rupert Murdoch.
you will see they facts don't bear that out. More jobs were created during Clinton's 8 years than the 20 years of Reagan and the Bush's. Since WWII more jobs under dems than repubs.
You people can call me names like true right wingers. But, you haven't refuted the fact your Hero Ronald Reagan tripled our national debt. George the retard double our national debt and had the lowest job creation since WWII. Blame Obama for everything. He's been in office for 5 months trying to clean up after the retard. The policies of Reagan and Bush's had nothing to do with where we are now. That's typical right wing bullshit.
