Bindishep the dogs name is Quardes von der staatsmacht , the vid I posted was the BSPS 2012 and I think he got the highest score in protection that year. I believe he is in the states now, I AM NOT ON THIS THREAD TO KNOCK OR PROMOTE ANY ONE DOG just the manner in which some dogs are marketed,but I will be doing some investigation to see is he here for sure.

khaleei23 clearly I have not worked these dog if I had of why would I be asking questions of them on this thread??? My mind would be made up after I worked them either way good or bad. I'm not saying they are bad I'm mearly asking do their reputations proceed them??

Recently I found one of these dogs has a Facebook page ( because every good working dog needs one nowadays) on this page it says the dog is like an urban myth or chupacabra/Sasquatch.

I wonder would we have more of a chance seeing Sasquatch or Chupacabra at a big trial than this dog?

Also look in Europe now,nobody really cares about Drago, why?? Because the breeder is now pushing his new dog Brisco and when he is done with him and if he is sold to the states will everybody here jump all over him then?

All I am knocking here is the Hype that surrounds these dogs and urge people to really look into things and make up their own mind.

So many breeders will advertise saying "we are trying to improve the lines here in this and other  countries"but for most of these people this is their full time job and this is how they make a living and people need to understand this.

There are really good breeders who have had and continue to have success, these are the guys I would be looking to contact when I am looking for a puppy or a breeding!!

(Please don't ask me for a list of breeders That I think are good that's another days work altogether and taking the thread off topic)

Example: I am a carpenter I do not go to work everyday for my love of wood or to improve the world standard of carpentry(if I can help great) but I go to work to provide for my family.

I can not advertise myself as the worlds best carpenter, Why?? Because I have nothing to back it up so I don't do it!!

If I had proof I was one of the worlds leading carpenter believe me I would advertise it.

I haven't met Drago either.  I have seen quite a few Bomber puppies at the time between 6 months and 2 or so years of age.  The offspring were ok, nothing I haven't seen quite a few times before.  I'd like to meet those dogs and work them one day so I'd know for myself I guess.  But on the other hand I don't really care as there are other dogs producing dogs I like, and i'm not looking for one now and probably won't be for 2-3 years at least for myself.

Anywa, Quardes is a very nice dog and I have seen him in person.  I wanted to breed a female to him, but got overruled in the end.  One of my favorite dogs was bred here in the states, wasn't the best trained as he didn't have owners that were looking to compete at nationals anymore, just title him.  Not that he was poorly trained, but he had a lot in the tank.  They knew it too.  Grappo vom something.  Glitzernstern? maybe?  Hardly known dog that was everything i've seen in the big names in this country.  Produced some damn fine puppies too, every bit as good, most times better than the stuff I see others spending shitloads on.

You've asked some great questions and I think that people have answered them for you as best as they can.

It does seem, though, that you have a bit of a personal thing against Drago and Bomber because you throw out little snippets like, no one cares about Drago in Europe now. If this were true why was there a line waiting at the door when Gary brought Drago back to Germany last year? It is easy to pick apart any dog from watching a video of that dog. Quardes is a great dog from what I have heard from those I trust. He tied for high in protection (98) that year with Hank, the 2012 BSP Champion. After watching the video do you believe he deserved a 98? This is not a knock on the dog, but, I can easily see where he lost more than two points in that performance. Can you? To the best of my knowledge Quardes is now back with Stefan, his breeder. Stefan lives the United States now.

If you are really interested in finding out about Bomber or Drago why don't you contact the owner of each and go handle each dog and then put the sleeve on and take bites from them?

If that's too much for you from a time or distance standpoint feel free to pm me and I can give you contact info for people, some at the upper echelon of Schutzhund in this country, that have taken bites from Drago and listen to what they have to say. There are others that I am sure can do the same for Bomber.

They aren't mean things, they are 'typical' when one breeder feels the need to belittle others dogs in order to feel superior.

    Totally uncalled for, and rather 'unprofessional' if you ask me, behavior fit best for politicians...

When one has to try to tear down someone else, to make themselves appear 'better', is pretty lame , to say the least.

must be true!! you must know and for sure i do not argue with you about good or bad. my bad is maybe your good or my good is maybe your bad. but this here is not about me!!!! so why do you bring my name up. 

I AM A WORKING DOG FAN!!! How many times in my posts have I said I am not knocking anyone's dog or breeder only the hype behind some dogs with no evidence to see and how that hype snowballs with more people buying puppies. One person asked me to give an example of what I think is a good dog, so I did, the kennel name of my example is irrelivent. Training dogs is a hobby for me so I cannot be unprofessional because it is not my profession, (I can be opinionated perhaps) I am maybe too blunt for some people but it's my opinion. So to drag staatsmacht into this thread because I used his dog as an example makes you look very petty indeed kitkat!!    Could you imagine a world kitkat where people could think for themselves and then voice those opinions.
