Blitzen, what a surprise! Thought you'd disappeared forever, just before the last presidential election, if I recollect! Welcome back... I think, LOL

You recollect correctly, BeeTree. When the suggestion was posted here that someone should go on a rooftop with an AK47 and assassinate one of the candidates and accompanied that recommendation with a picture, I felt it was time to go. I'm being told that the mods here are keeping things civil now.

Yes Blitzen I was serious. I had heard the term but never knew what it ment, nor had I seen one. Yeah I think I will know it if I see it now, and thanks to everyone who answered my questions I will know what the problem is.

WHAT I SAID: 1GSD1, I don't care to disagree or agree with you. In fact, what you think of my decision to help a dog (if possible) is absolutely of no interest to me. I do as I see fit in each situation. I didn't ask for your help or your blessing. The NIMBY Syndrome is not an affliction of mine. Sometimes you have to actually step in and get your hands dirty. I was similarly warned when I took in the 6 yr old bound for euth. due to extreme aggression and him flown to me from NY. Risky? Sure. But how many things truly worth doing come with no risk? END QUOTE
Seriously 1GSD1? Your response to my disinterest in your opinion of my decision to try to help a dog is to allege that I must have "personality issues" and "my hubby left me?"
Quite a leap to make from someone asking that an attorney familiar in dog law & custody issues contact privately!
This was and still is about a dog...a dog in a not very nice place, in the hands of a not very nice person (and an alleged scammer, if you do a little background digging), if you ask me (which no one did, but this is a discussion forum, so by default, I'm allowed to comment). If Iron Horse will allow it, I'd like to take Natalee and find her a proper home who doesn't care if she's the prettiest dog they've ever seen walking from behind and I will give her every cent I recoup. She does not need to be held for evidence; on the contrary- there HAVE to be clear damages or loss of some kind; a judge is not going to say "give her the money back and let her keep the dog; the dog is clearly defective." Just ain't gonna happen.
$3000 is a lot of money, in general, but honestly, for a SL dog of good bloodlines w/show ratings, my first question would've been "why so cheap? What's wrong with her?" You just don't get a top notch, truly breeding quality bitch for $3000 under normal, every day circumstances. JMHO. I know what I paid for Capri, I know what Theres cost, and I know what others have spent on really nice females of working lines, and SL dogs are much higher in general.

it's disgusting how many think a puppy or any dog moving like this at any age is "normal". Maybe you should demand more from your breeders and expect better build puppies and dogs.

by Jenni78 on 19 September 2011 - 17:09
zdog, name one person who said that is normal. Just one, and show me where they said that. It's amazing to me how poor the mainstream public's reading comprehension is and how quickly they jump to nasty conclusions and assumptions. Helping a dog who was dealt a bad hand is construed as permissive of breeders breeding genetic faults? Unbeliveable.
I think I need a forum sabbatical. TTFN.

I would like to know who said/who thinks what the video illustrates is normal? It's not at all normal, should not be excused or overlooked, but yet the dog is not crippled and it's not a reason to euth the dog or the parents nor do I believe this is indicative of how show line breeders breed. I've never seen a dog move like that and I've been quite involve in the show line scene (west german SL). I believe the condition is being exacerbated by the dog being clearly overweight and in poor condition as far as muscle tone relative to her size. But given the information about how quickly she was put from one crate into another I guess that is unfortunately no surprise that she would be so out of condition if that is indicative of how she was previously kept. I belive with exercise and conditioning, taking weight off, and maturity the condition would improve. However if I personally were sent a dog like that I would send it back. I like some show line dogs, I have one now and will always have one, but that is not the quality and type of dog I would show. I'm sure she'd make a fine pet. I personally would send the dog back (well, probably would not have bought a dog from a larger scale commercial type kennel in the first place) because while she might be a fine pet I only have so much space to keep a certain number of dogs and I want to keep good quality dogs I can train and perform with.
