Then the shop will have to do the weeding on the Computer i have a couple of Programs on mine that would be disaster if anything messed them up. Evidently you are computer literate some of us are not, Puppet
If i was to go through and read each thread fully more so when i go to bed it does not exist sometimes i get up the next day and see Page fulls of new thread Lost in the Maze of different time zones
And i read the bits put on the last pages but they mean nothing to me or others who do not know about computers and i will not chance messing mine up.
So the easy way out is to stop Posting and that will sort out all problems for me,
Puppet as you are so good with computers perhaps you can get my details wiped off for me if so i would be obliged to you, So adios Guys, It was a pleasure knowing some of you

Oli's words below.
"You have already proven that you get a timeout for the dns lookup so I / we know what the problem is, either fix it or stop complaining. Nothing I do will help on your end."

Moderator comment: Maybe not accused but pointed out that you were the only one calling anyone an idiot. If you truly did not mean the moderator, I am sorry. Did you get your problem solved?

Bumping up the screen resolution is no big deal and can be done by the user.in a matter of minutes. Compare it to adjusting the resotion on your TV set. No big deal and can be easily undone as well. It won't affect the rest of your computer or screw up any stored programs EXCEPT the text size will be smaller
Smaller text size is also no big deal as long as your vision is normal as the text size won't be THAT small and you can easily increase the font size of your browser. As long as your screen resolution is set to a minimum of 1080 x 768 all the overlapping issues should be solved. If you still have problems after that, then I don't know what to tell you.
My opinion of a website that requires a minimum screen resolution to view properly is a whole 'nuther issue. I spend a lot of time on the internet and this is the first I have encounted a situation like this where users who prefer a lower resolution are being tossed aside. And yes, I know we are in the minority by a vast margin.

Newsweek.com, facebook.com are set for 980,
wikipedia.org is set for minimum width of 720, so they are set for 1024x768 and up.
Some ad picture clipping in an extreme low resolution is not loss of functionality imo. This site does not anymore used fixes sizing of text. So it fully supports resize of text in browsers. (which is what most with sight problems use to make text more readable, and not lower the resolution,

I do have problems with my vision so I am acutely aware of text size. Sure, the font size can be increased on your browser but what about the rest of my computer?
