I think it takes courage for the owners/breeders of the dogs to get on the field. I just think the rules should apply to everyone.

I'd like to take this opportunity to invite all of you to enter your dogs in any National event so you can experience first-hand the pressure and stress nearly every entrant experiences in the months of training prior to, and actual day-of-event when you have to step on that stadium field in front of the most discriminating audience you ever dreamed of, with your dog and your reputation on the line. Anyone who tries to say they aren't as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs when its their turn to perform, is lying like a rug. Most of us can not even eat till well after our performance is finished and scores, good or bad, long-since awarded. Myself, I've been known to throw up between tracking and obedience at a club trial, even though my dog got 100 pts. in A just minutes before.
