I can fully understand the trepidation being expressed by many. For whatever reasons, moderating has not been very successful on this board in the past. Believe it or not, the goal of the current moderators is to NOT be seen, heard from, or needed, though I understand it will take a little time to earn people's trust.

The primary issues I am concerned with, are not the majority of members, who are for the most part, good people from all walks of life with a passion for dogs. The majority of members have proven they are fully capable of shepherding themselves, and conduct themselves appropriately. I anticipate the majority of people who frequent this board will rarely, if ever, be moderated.

Hopefully the very few who used to disrupt this board (frequently), by using it as training camp for trolls will realize that door has been shut, and will go elsewhere for their pleasure.

But it is public, open to everyone free of charge. It's not Augusta National. The "anonymous" BOI should not be granted anymore rights than you or I. I use the name my parents gave me at birth, I'm not hiding from anyone. I received an E-mail threat from someone who felt they "wanted to hurt me". Doesn't bother me,,,. If you feel threatened, call the police and file a complaint for internet harassment. The police have officers that are trained to deal with those things. What are the qualifications of the "moderators" other than I don't like how you think? Hey, I put up with poster's poor spelling and bad grammar every day.

my point is that one caniin is welcoming the other is the dominate and territorial......
if you have to think about it, may be enjoying the power trip a bit too much.

SitasMom, there is no power trip by these people, I have not seen that demonstrated What I have seen, is what Oli ( the owner of the website ) brought them in to do. There was some very serious bad behavior taking place. Behavior that was becoming unhealthy and threatening to some members. He did what he believes is best for the product he owns.

is it not fair to aske someone who has only 6 or 7 posts, how they would know so much about this board? and to be sitcking up for german shepherd dog is such a way.

Any moderator who gets caught using any user name besides their moderator user name or their real user name will be taken off moderation. No exceptions and no excuses.

We will not tolerate moderators using multiple user names.

No sarcasm intended, but its really sad when the moderators have to be moderated......

Kudos to moderator GSD.....No one is above the TOS and seems this Mod will make sure of it, even if its reminding another moderator..... Refreshing to have fair and impartial moderation....

Well, here is a different opinion. I think the mods are very necessary. This board has "devolved" (is that a word) into nothing more than a constant source for a few to attack any dissenting opinion or discussion of the GSD.

And, Phil, you are chief among those who wish to show their knowledge by attacking any novice or any opinion you do not agree with. The board has been changed by the owner. Accept this.

What is it you wish to do, stay around here and argue with him. You can't win. Move on to another site where you can tell everyone how much you know and how stupid they are because they have not yet had the time to learn.
