Red Sable

by Red Sable on 21 October 2010 - 00:10

That is a very very nicely structured dog Christine.  Glad to see a dog like that getting V.  Renews my faith in the system.

She's beautiful.

We have one.

V KK1 (life) Molinari Enzo SCH3, IPO3, VK3, FH.  WUSV 4x, FCI 3x - handler owner trained.

SKI, thank you for sharing. It is very rare that people who participate on this level share here because of the nonsense.

Preston, what have you wroght?

sorry i am a little late but I must agree Bandit is one of the best looking working dogs in the states, any one who says otherwise needs glasses

by eichenluft on 21 October 2010 - 02:10

I agree I actually don't personally like the first picture of Bandit - the one taken in Germany - the one "photoshopped" as so many pictures are - it is not the picture I have used for advertising this dog as I don't like the over-stretched stack position and unnatural stance.  Also his color "in real life" is much darker - But recently I posted a group of pictures including that one and asked a group of people which one is the best for advertising - and almost unanimously people chose that one.  Interesting eh?

This is the one I have been using for advertising Bandit to date -

eichenluft, thank you also for participation. It is not often we get interaction from those who actually have accomplishments in the GSD.

I have often looked at Bandit and his more famous brother and considered that you present your dog correctly and honestly.

When I chose my w/l bitch from Javir and a V rated female (very good placing in LG) it was because she was convenient to evaluate. You were next choice for breeder.

Thank you Rick -

as I said, there are many choices in this country, and even more in europe - of WL dogs with excellent "V" structure that also work  excellent.  Many have been mentioned here already - and there are many more.  Breeders SHOULD care about improving their own dogs used in their breeding programs - breeders should care about improving temperament, work ethic, nerve strength, genetic grip, HEALTH, STRUCTURE, pigment, type, bone - even smaller stuff like eye color, feet (round, tight feet instead of long flat), ear set.... and the list goes on, and on, and on.  You never want to "throw the baby out with the bathwater" if I find a super female or male that is awesome and excellent in every way except for...... then I will breed that dog, but find a partner that will compliment whatever might be lacking in that dog.

I have always tried to use dogs that will improve structure, without losing anything in the work.  Here are more examples of dogs in my program  - SG and V KKl-1 working line dogs

V-Eagle v Eichenluft Schh3 (25X), FH2,IPO3,KKl-1lbz,OFA Good

Carl,  I know you see this thread. You own China. You also choose Javir for breeding. You have very valuable input to this thread. Do not be shy. Tell us your thoughts on why you choose V rated dogs for your program. for w/l GSD.

Why do you travel to Germany at much expense to choose these dogs with V structure.

There has been much said about Javir on this thread so I will post one of his sons that I have for sale. He is a great young dog with good looks.

Troy was born 1.20.08. He has his IPO3, hips are certified a1 normal. He is very well trained and has lots of drive. His IPO3 scores were 96-92-94! The best part is he is a son of the world famous V Javir Talka Marda, IPO3, SchH3 KKL1 a1 normal hips, WUSV, BSP, BSZS competitor! His mother is Pira Hartis Bohemia, IPO3, SchH3, ZVV1, a1 hips.

Here is a link to him on the database: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/672993.html

Eagle's mother was a hard-working, serious-as-they-come working-line female from Tiekerhook - she was G KKl-2.  Bred her to a KKl-1 male (Alk v Osterburg Quell) and I don't believe he was V - but he was correct.  Eagle and his sister Cynnor (below) went KKl-1 and Cynnor "Zeke" would have likely gone V had I brought her back to try for one, which I did not.    Zeke's sire was V-Quattro v Spitzbubezwinger Schh3,KKl-1.

SG-Cynnor v Eichenluft Schh3,KKl-1,OFA Good - picture taken a week after whelping a litter.
