Moons you strike me as a T.L supporter :-) Nothing malicious intended by that...just a thought.

Jackie,
I don't have to have my attorney OK my posts. Anyhow, lacking your mailing address, my attorney sent a letter to your attorney on July 29. Please ask your attorney if you want a copy of this letter and comply with the requests of my attorney. I suggest that you remove all of your own libelous, unfounded, and offensive posts in reference to me and my dogs.

Leary was lost with the first hit of Acid.
He had the real deal, not something you buy on the street corner.
He knew man was screwed but could not see a way out, so he chose the individual approach, turn on tune out.
That's like wearing a blind fold in front of the firing squad, hide from it.
It changes nothing.
Can't say I supported him or his views, but I understood them.
He and his wife were both charismatic, likable people and the culture had it's time.
What I liked most were the times, I too tried to turn it all off, and times were good.
Then I went through the, we can change things years, another lesson learned.
Now I understand the true nature of the situation and I guess Leary played a part in this to some extent.
I fully understand him now, turn on, tune out. It is better than the burden of knowing and a personal way out for those who cannot carry that burden.
As much as I would like, I cannot look away.
I believe still that anything is possible and I would not want to miss anything.
Beauty still exists, and no one can escape reality.
Moons.

All that I had to do was to Google a name and a city to get home address and telephone number (not of someone on this forum). The ones I really care about are on my cell phone.

I see what you mean between "understanding" and "supporting" Completely different. Some may dispute it's a fine line but I think it's pretty clear.
I agree about Leary.... now :-) Twenty years ago I thought he was a genius. You know at the age when you already know everything. I miss those days....
Psychadelics have never been my thing. A couple of experiements, not so great... That was enough for me... So I stuck with listening to the music.
Even though that was more my parent's time, I grew up wishing I was born in that era, and still love the music, the popular as well as the obscure.
And went from age 18 to about 25 wearing Grateful Dead t shirts...I even thought Patchouli smelled nice UGH LOL
The other day a song came on my iTunes that I had not heard in probably 10 years and could hardly believe that I remembered it word for word.
How was THAT for HIJACKING a thread?
Now I'm in the mood to find something to listen to that I haven't in about 20 years, time to browse the music library :-)
