Yet another very conservative Republican, Ken Adelman, decides that he would rather vote for Obama than McCain - pretty stunning for anyone who knows Adelman's background. One of the major reasons for his decision is the selection of Sarah Palin - a selection that he says "showed appalling lack of judgment. Not only is Sarah Palin not close to being acceptable in high office—I would not have hired her for even a mid-level post in the arms-control agency."
Here is an excerpt of Adelman's statement:
Why so, since my views align a lot more with McCain’s than with Obama’s? And since I truly dread the notion of a Democratic president, Democratic House, and hugely Democratic Senate?
Primarily for two reasons, those of temperament and of judgment.
When the economic crisis broke, I found John McCain bouncing all over the place. In those first few crisis days, he was impetuous, inconsistent, and imprudent; ending up just plain weird. Having worked with Ronald Reagan for seven years, and been with him in his critical three summits with Gorbachev, I’ve concluded that that’s no way a president can act under pressure.
Second is judgment. The most important decision John McCain made in his long campaign was deciding on a running mate.
That decision showed appalling lack of judgment. Not only is Sarah Palin not close to being acceptable in high office—I would not have hired her for even a mid-level post in the arms-control agency. But that selection contradicted McCain’s main two, and best two, themes for his campaign—Country First, and experience counts. Neither can he credibly claim, post-Palin pick.
Adelman goes on to say that he would be willing to vote for Obama though it means that it would mean that the executive and legislative branches would be in the hands of Democrats.

Breaking News: Palin Endorses Obama
In a bombshell development today, John McCain's vice presidential running mate Sarah Palin announced that she is throwing her support behind Democratic Party nominee Barack Obama.
"After learning that Colin Powell, Tina Fey, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, the entire liberal media establishment, Republican Ken Adelman, Louis Farrakhan, Andrew Sullivan, Peggy Noonan, Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers and -- yes, even Alec Baldwin -- have all endorsed Barack Obama for president, did I really have any other choice?" Palin asked a stunned press corps at a campaign rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
"Besides -- let's face it," Palin remarked "At this point his lead in the polls in insurmountable."
Asked whether she genuinely supports Barack Obama, given the attacks she has lobbed at the Democratic presidential candidate, and given her own status as John McCain's vice presidential running mate, Palin seemed momentarily startled, then winked. "You betcha!"
LOL!!!

"Seriously, do you seriously believe that classifying the local mullet wearing, cross burning, KKK members and skin heads as rednecks is stereotyping? How do you feel about those who organized a KKK rally on the Gettysburg Battlefield? A mayor who incited a race riot and provided weapons to the crowd? People who go to malls to intimidate and harrass minorities? Patriots? Not to me and if that makes me a hypocrit, then so be it."
Blitzen,
Do you believe that classifying the local corn row braids wearing, loud violent rap music, drug dealing, criminals as blacks is stereotyping? How do you feel about the everyday black on white crime that occurs throughout this entire country where blacks exist among whites, or the extreme black on black where there are no whites? A Detroit Mayor named Kwame who lied and tried to incite a city against the prosecutors office and local law enforcement until he found they had proof he committed perjury? Or Mayor Nagin of chocolate city who tried to incite the world against the evil white man. Or the Jesse Jacksons who wanted a group of white athletes made an example of until it turned out the black stripper lied about it all? Or the minorities who loiter in malls, buying nothing, and shoplift everything, attempting to intimidate and harass non-minorities there to actually support the businesses?
Yes, you are a hypocrite.

Blitzen,
The above is the example I used of the hypocrisy that comes from the stuff you're saying. Both are stereotypes. But you'll defend the one you said and denounce others, saying they're not the same. They are, stereotypes.
Hodie,
Get over yourself. You'd like to believe yourself a martyr and that surely no one who disagrees with you has any decency in their heart. It's very sad and dillusional.

Perspective for liberals.......The comparisons are shocking
Obama's lame excuses that he did not know how radical Ayers was when he used to hang out with him, will eventually unravel. Here's some shocking audio from anarchist/marxist, terrorist Bill Ayers from the same week he worked with Obama.

seriously........I am no martyr nor do I desire to be so. But I have and continue to contribute to my society in as many venues as I can. You failed again to answer the question. Why is that? Because you don't contribute anything anywhere to anyone?
It is also obvious by your post above that you are also a bigot. Crime, for example, exists everywhere and is committed by people of all colors, in all areas of this country. You know this but would rather suggest it only comes from blacks. Your assertions above are outrageous and you should be ashamed, but don't have the sense to be ashamed of being a racist. By the way, I worked in law enforcement and at least half of the shop lifters arrested were white. Not that this matters to you since you make no sense anyway.
By the way, just in case you failed to note it: the prosecutor in the Duke LaCrosse players rape accusations was a white man who lied and embellished and did NOT do his duty. It was because of his failure to perform his duties that the case went as far as it did. As you should know, he paid, as he should have, for that lack of integrity and honesty.
