Ravi is a very decent and supportive guy as well. He didn't even know me but upon seeing me disapointed about how my dog had performed in a seminar, went out of his way to come over and cheer me up. Ravi is the kind of guy who earns your respect without trying.

I agree 100% about Ravi & his dog's performance. IMHO that's the team to try to beat for Univesal Sieger. I got a chance to meet Ravi in San Jose last week. He's a heck of a nice guy whose done a tremendous job with his very first dog. Also congratulations to Randy Tyson for having bred yest another really fine dog. I didn't get a chance to talk to them much at the show, but I'm sure she and David were very proud sitting ringside.

BTW- I am absolutely crushed that not everybody thinks I have a good sense of humor. Louise is right, I'm never going to be Miss Mensa, but anyone who knows me very well wouldn't be surprised to see my picture on the cover of some pyschiatry journal featuring papers on adult ADHD.
(That was supposed to be humorous)

I was remiss in not mentioning Juneau's breeder, Randy Tyson. Thanks, Shelley, he too deserves recognition for a job will done.

I echo the kudos to Ravi. Having spoken to him a few times since the Show, I can fully agree with the above statements. His efforts in presenting the performance portion of the Show to everyone is invaluable and has led to more than the usual voicxing of concern/ poo-poo of SL dogs and defensive avoidance. Dee seems to be really working on getting something off the ground to address the problems. Maybe in a few years, there will be no need for these discussions at all.
YES--RAVI and JUNEAU are definitely "real" Universal Sieger candidates. There can be no doubt about Juneau trialing (he's trialed in USA trials for his titles), making the requisite 270 qualifying score, or participating in a regional championship (and I don't mean just entering and then pulling with a vet's excuse--I have no doubt that Juneau will compete in all three phases). I look forward to meeting Ravi and Juneau in Texas in November. I will admit my bias: I am rooting for Ravi and Juneau to win the Universal Sieger title.

Now there's a great idea for a bumper sticker - "Ravi and Juneau, Universal Sieger".

I think Ravi and his dog did an excellent job....But, I am cheering for Heidi and Obi. I will cheer for Ravi, most definitely, but I think experience will win out.

Both are certainly worthy candidates and both HOT dogs, right?

bumper sticker - "Bitches rule, Ule Universal Siegerin"
Don't count out Karen & Ule, they wowed the crowd last year at the 2007 Canadian Schutzhund Nationals!

All 3 of those dogs look like serious contenders.
BTW: Randy Tyson is a "she." :)
