Blitzen, I'm sorry your friend died.  Yes,  this topic is shallow compared to the horrors that go on in this world, but with that logic you could pretty much shut down every question ever posed anywhere.  I like most am capable of discussing many things including censorship which actually is not shallow.

There were 3 moderators before.  Everyone complained for them enforcing the rules of the board.  So everyone might like it now, but when it happens, everyone will complain because they can't belittle or make fun of everyone like they used to.

LOL glad you guys like the pics. Sorry I have missed out on todays banter. Been power shopping with the kid for back to school clothes. 7hrs later and $900 lighter, I'm back.

Thanks, Sueincc. I'm still in shock. Who would have expected someone to die due to a simple sugery like that?

I'm not sure we are on the same page here when we talk about moderating an internet board. I'm not thinking to censur anyone as far as their opinions go.

Ok guys..let me ask a question to all.   I was joking and being ficeious (i know misspell) about me being the moderator since I have been such a troublemaker lately andI knew some people had me in mind as one of the reasons they wanted a moderator.

Did you not all realize this or think I was serious like Sunsilver?  I thought I was being humerous and having a laugh.

Very shocking, especially that surgery.  I feel for his family and would hate to be in their shoes right now.

Blitzen, my ex husbands grandma told me her husband died from the same thing. I never got to meet him, this happened a couple years before I met her. Nothing life threatening about the surgery but he died from complications. Very sad. He was her everything. Her home was filled with happy pictures of them together.

I LOVE hypocrits! They are the best toys EVER!

"My issue with DR, and with most of what goes on on this board is not so much the language as it is the personal attacks."

But it was YOU who were the first to personally attack someone -DR.  There was no personal attacks on anyone on this thread until you started it.

"You are also ignoring that I wasn't the first to jump into this debate. It had gone on for over a day before I posted, and then I did so only because DesertRangers posted and said he thought he'd make a good mod. "

Right, it went on for a whole day without personal attacks until you started them.

"As for personal attacks, if someone attacks me, I AM going to respond, if there is no moderator to do so for me. Does that make me a hypoocrite" Uh, yeah, when you are the one who starts the attack and then act like it's someone else who started it.

"I've been involved in this sort of debate before as a moderator, and I know there's no way to win. "   Do I detect a trend here?  "You're going to jump on me for every single little thing I say, just as happened with Echo Meadows. You get your jollies from ganging up and attacking me,"  Not for every single thing you say, dear, for every single thing you say and judge other people for doing.  And if you want to throw yourself in the bucket with Echo then more power to you. You can take turns have persecutions complexes. But, I do have to admit that I enjoy calling the phonies on their bullshit. Fortunately, I was born with a finely tuned "Bullshit-ometer" and you hit the red zone everytime you try to be holier than thou.

Sunsilver "My beef is this:

1) Conversation is off topic, no longer has anything to do with dogs.

2) Participants are using some of the foulest language I've seen to date on a messageboard." ...and let's not forget this one

"All I did was call you a redneck, which is not a profanity, and is quite obviously true!"

                                                  ...yet...

"My issue with DR, and with most of what goes on on this board is not so much the language as it is the personal attacks."

Well, which one is it?  The problem with you is common to many hypocrites: You think you can convince others that you are superior. Mostly that's because you've deluded yourself into believing it.  My problem is simple I'm a blunt, crude person who has no time for moral frauds or their accompanying bullshit.

4pack, I just can't imagine how the family must feel. Dog people are pretty good when there is an emergency; many are now making plans to find homes for the dogs and the breed rescue will help out too.

DR, frankly I never really know how to take you. I guess you are using the element of shock when you talk about sex with dogs and things like that. If so, it works and I am always shocked . I was raised in the city, have heard and used plenty of 4 letter words in my lifetime, but it's always in the back of my mind to try not to say mean and vulgar things  in a public venue.  I guess that makes others feel as if I think I'm better than they are and I honestly don't. Anyway, I'm going to drop it now as we are not and never will be on the same page here. Our common ground is the GSD and I think I should stick to threads that address that topic limited to subjects I know about.

DR-yeah, I got it. Personally I think it's even funnier because Sunsilver showed so much more of her real character.

Sunsilver-why don't you just give it up. You can't be someone you're not. No matter how hard you try to convince the world.
