I would say between 4 and 5 weeks depending on how strong the pups are.

Brittany I think she also got the question wrong.you wean the puppies not the mother as far as I understand.If perle your asking about the puppies, you start at the age of 3 weeks.Ive just done that,got 8 puppies .

Who knows the ? could be either, weaning puppies or seperating them from the mother. English is not everyones first launguage and how to do a post may not be common knowledge, just like adding dogs to database, I have seen dozens of post asking how to do it. So glad to see both questions were answered.

I think the puppies should be with the mother as long as possible. Start supplimenting them when they are around 4 weeks. Puppies learn alot from their mother, if you have a good bitch let her teach them.
