I made the mistake of going into a breeding contract with him with one of his pups, or so I thought.
Actually, I have no real contract with him since he isn’t listed as the previous owner/ breeder. For some reason his son Adam Fox is, and I’ve never met his son. I have no contract with his son. I am the dogs registered owner.
He assured me both parents had good hips, and health. He refuses to send me a copy of the contract. He said he has never had a dog come back from this breeding or any other with bad hips. He assured me she was top breeding quality, and I would just split two litters with him.
The dog has severe hip dysplasia at 14 months. The worst I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t care. He is trying to say I must have caused it. OFA disagrees, and so do two other vets. Her hips pop out they are so bad.
Then he tried to say maybe I took a different dog to the vet. I said fine you tell me where and when to meet you at a vet; you choose and I will be there with her that way we both know it’s her. He suddenly didn’t want to do that.
So now I’ve raised a dog on what I thought was a breeding contract with Bob that is a wash for breeding. It happens. This dog is going to have to be on pain meds for the rest of her life, and he still wants to use her for breeding. No joke. He said “it’s business” She is a sweet dog who is in obvious pain, and it’s Irrelevant to him.
I have been silent waiting to see if he would do the right thing. Im done waiting. Vets say she should be spayed, but apparently he is just looking for a payoff. That’s not going to happen. The dog is not breedworthy.
He threatened to sue me, so I got an attorney: Lambert is my attorney in Ironton Ohio Bob, and they can’t even get him to respond. He Is obviously going to pretend he didn’t get any notice. I’ve sent him messages to respond to my attorney on his page he sells pups from, and texts. Apparently, he threatens to sue lots of people when they decide they won’t let him bully them. I wish I had looked over old posts here before I ever considered dealing with this man. This isn’t slander. I can back up what I have said. These are facts. Bob Fox talks bad about people breeding dogs with OFA hips that come back bad, unless of course it’s one of his dogs.
If you have a puppy out of Kojack Vom Fox and Frauliene Vom Fox you might wanna have those hips looked at. He, or his son have many of their litters out there.
As much as bob would like to say her hips are bad because of some unknown “environmental issue” that I somehow caused. OFA says it could not be. Bob seems to think he is an expert. Don’t be scammed or bullied by this man. If anyone would like to see her hips, letter from OFA, or the two other letters from different vets feel free to contact me. If you would like to see his posts from Facebook where he is talking bad about a lady who bred a dog with OFA bad hips contact me. If you would like to see the message where he tells me “it’s not up to what any vet thinks” contact me. If you would like to see where he threatens to sue me for 10 thousand for not breeding her contact me. I will be posting her pedigree here with the results of her prelims. If a judge lets him have her back at least a simple search would maybe stop some unsuspecting person he might fool into another contract from breeding her. This man has lied about me, and tried to make me look bad on social media in an attempt to make himself look like the victim. Any decent breeder would have said: I’m sorry. Get her spayed and keep her, or find her a pet home that can manage her pain. A good breeder would try to make it right.
Since I am unable to add documents here I will post word for word what OFA sent me in a letter regarding Hemi Vom Fox
This letter is in regards to the pelvic radiograph of Hemi Vom Fox a 14 month old female GSD. The OFA evaluation from 10/ 30/18 stated severe HD. HD Is an inherited disease. There is no radiographic evidence of prior trauma/ injury, and there are no environmental factors that would cause the degenerative hip changes noted.
OFA has no hip record on either Hemi’s sire or Dam.
OFA Would not recommend Hemi be used for breeding since there is a high probability she would pass on HD to her progeny.
Letter is signed by Dr. Keller

Not to take away from the problems in your post, but it is not proven that HD is an inherited disease. Some vets and scholars believe it can be caused by environmental factors like allowing a pup to jump too much/hard, repetitive strain when young and other factors like nutrition.
I wholeheartedly agree with not breeding her.

That’s not the case here. I’m experienced with German Shepherds. I spoke in detail with the specialist who was happy to explain, and go over her X-rays. You are welcome to look at them. They are very bad. She has had no forced exercise, she has been kept fit which is documented. Her kennel isn’t on concrete she is inside, or on soft bedding. She doesn’t jog with me or anything else. She eats 5 star dog food, and always has. She gets as much exercise as she wants, and nothing more. Anyone who knows me knows I take care of my dogs. I love this girl, and just want what is best for her.

Phantom, why do we test the GSD for hips and elbows if it's not inherited?

Regulars here will know I'm not in America so don't have full info on US laws of contract, small claims courts & procedures etc, but I can't imagine this breeder being able to legally enforce such a draconian agreement here in the UK. So my inclination is to say "let him do his worst"; don't know if that could be possible for you over there. As long as you have evidence of the dogs condition and all you have done, surely no Judge with any heart would return her to her original breeder.
Did you really have NO inkling he might behave like this before you decided to buy from him / his son ?
