Xeph

If I remember correctly he/she was a pretty big Shepherd (or appeared) and looked almost as if the feet/legs were just not strong enough to hold the body up? Hopefully, I'm making sense.

That's Luvy, and Luvy is a she.  She's a good sized bitch, but also carries a very thick, plushy coat.

Luvy has a lot of rear.  She's a low stationed bitch as it is, so all that rear can make things look a bit more awkward.

Dash resembles very little of Dallas, especially in his younger years. The biggest problem with Dallas is he couldn't produce a pup that resembled him, despite multiple breedings trying to recreate such.

American GSDs are formed into two groups - All breeds and Specialty. All breeds are less dramatic in angles, croup, spine, less stifle etc. Specialty are the ones you guys generally look down upon.

The specialty being the top and the all breed being the bottom. A working line has the potential to place in an all breed (though admittedly slim, the potential to place is still there).

Ch Lenlor's Maximus up top...died young, unforunately.

I'm not sure I'd really call the bottom all breed, either.

My bitch doesn't do well at specialties, which I'm ok with.  She's "all breed" type, and that's my general preference (wish their weren't such splits though).

Here's a boy I was showing...AKC Ch

Youo don't think Genney looked like Dallas?

I like him Xeph.

Me too.  And the judges hated him, and people ringside made fun of him.

He is no longer being shown

You don't think Gennie looked like Dallas?

I thought Gennie was overdone...didn't like Geneva either.  Honestly, the only Dallas daughter I really liked was Tena, and of course she was not campaigned as fervently as the other girls

I meant Geneva. I really liked her. The eye of the beholder.............
