Here's my suggestion for a good Schutzhund trainer

The Credentials of Judge Joe Tackett:

1960-1961       DOG WORLD AWARD
The Dog World Award is received only by a rare few individuals. It
is awarded for superior scores in obedience in 3 consecutive AKC
Obedience Trials.

1966-1971        HEAD TRAINER
The German Shepherd Dog Fanciers of Northern California

1968-1969        PRESIDENT
The German Shepherd Dog Fanciers of Northern California

1966-1975      BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The German Shepherd Dog Fanciers of Northern California

1970-1973      HEAD TRAINER
Atherwood All Breed Training of California

1971-1982       HEAD TRAINER PENINSULA CANINE CORPS
The Peninsula Canine Corps is the oldest existing Working Dog,
Police, Canine, Schutzhund, Obedience-Tracking-Protections in
the U.S.A. The Peninsula Canine Corps maintains its respect
internationally.

1982-1986      PRESIDENT PENINSULA CANINE CORPS

1982-1986 VICE PRESIDENT:UNITED SCHUTHUND CLUBS OF
AMERICA: Joe Tackett helped found this organization along with
the late Gernot Reidel, Jerry Slavens and other prominent
individuals with the vision of introducing Schutzhund in the United
States to help and promote and improve the working dog and
most notably the German Shepherd Dog. Schutzhund means
“protection dog,” however it encompasses far more in very
advanced obedience and tracking as well as the ultimate in safe
protection training. Schutzhund is truly “The Olympics” of dog
training. The true Schutzhund dog is not only a working
competition dog, but the ideal family companion and protector,
safe with children, but willing to die for his family.

1984-1986 U.S.A. BREED ADVISORY COMMITTEE: The National
Committee designed to determine and regulate breeding quality
working dogs in The United Schutzhund Clubs of America’s
registry. Mr. Tackett was one of the founders of this committee as
well as the primary organization. Mr. Tackett fought for orthopedic
soundness of hips.

1978-1990 LICENSED WORKING DOG JUDGE OF: THE UNITED
SCHUTZHUND CLUBS OF AMERICA: Judge Tackett was license
to judge WORLDWIDE.

1988-1990  DIRECTOR OF JUDGES OF THE UNITED
SCHUTHUND CLUBS OF AMERICA As Director of Judges his
many duties included selection and education of judges. His
services included being a liaison between USA and the world.

Years of successful history of  helping with K-9 Police Dog
Training blanket Judge Tackett's career also. Our Police Officers
and their canines have his utmost appreciation and respect.

1991 to 2006 Judge Tackett laid down his judgeship in 1991 for a
higher calling of reaching high-risk kids in poverty and feeding the
poor.  He remains President of Feed My Lambs Ministries, Inc.,
dedicated to feeding the poor. However, he  re-entered his former
beloved sport as a judge for The GSDCA- WDA (The Ge

Agreed.

Joe and his wife Victoria are wonderful people.

They are honest and fair.

They train dogs with loving care, and consistantly turn out champions.

I have to agree that Joe Tackett is the best.  I have been training under Joe's guidence with my female since she was 12 weeks old.  She is fantastic girl that absolutely LOVES Joe.  As our club's Training Director, he is capable of bringing out the best in a dog and helping them reach their full potential with a solid foundation that is also safe for our dogs.   Victoria is fantastic also.  They make a great team and I have had the privilege of learning from the best in the world!!!!!!    They have taught me so much about schutzhund and because of them two, this journey has been priceless.
