Help this site get rid of frauds !!!!!!!!! - Page 1

Somehow we need to get together and come up with an idea to ban people from this site for breaking certain rules such as posting fraudulent statements (making false claims)selling/trying to sell what does not belong to them etc....I am not a computer expert but I would bet there are a few out there that could help with suggestions like making the new member signup with an actual email address and not allow hotmail yahoo etc....????? Any suggestions? This is a great site and it is shameful that a few could ruin this site for many. Example":I am a novice trying to learn more about the breed shows/training/schutzhund/breeders..etc..some of my posts received some very valuable insight and I have met a few breeders who I can say I can trust and among them an SV judge from the Karlsruhe show and who will be again in Ulm but I have also been exposed to the con artists....Overall this is a really helpful/informative site with a nice way to get good dogs @ fair prices but how long will that last if sopmeone like myself or anyone continue to get ripped off moneywise etc..??!! I think this must be stopped asap...any other ideas????..JUST LOOK AT THE FUSS OVER D-BLUE OR ?...SHOULD BE SOME TYPE OF MEDIATION TO LOOK OVER THE FACTS AND THEN MAKE A DECISION OF THEIR NSUSPENSION RANGING FROM WEEKS/MONTHS/PERMANTLY...THIS is getting CRAZY.

I think everyone should appreciate what they have in this site, which Oli provides for FREE, no less. Stop complaining and creating more work for Oli, LISTEN and LEARN from other people's advice/warnings (wish I had known of this website before last December!) and do your homework before purchasing. It is NOT Oli's problem to take care of us. Each individual on here is responsible for themselves, and Oli should not be shackled to his computer trying to keep this site "fraud-free" or problem free. It is a noble quest, I agree, but it would be unfair to place this responsibility and burden upon someone who has ALREADY graciously donated his time free of charge in CREATING AND MAINTAINING this site. If you have questions, ASK them BEFORE you buy! People will always answer a question on here if they've had bad experiences with others, even if you ask them to email you privately. There are also plenty of posts on routes to take to get this done without losing money (i.e. ask others, only deal with KNOWN REPUTABLE breeders, ask for proof, etc) Asking Oli to take on another task is just not fair to him, when he has a life outside of this board too!! ;)

Please read the post FRAUD ALERT!!!!!!!!! I agree Oli has plenty to do and is going way out of his way to make this a good site. I only wish there were some way to help. Maybe he would allow someone (he knows/trusts)to do a few things such as mentioned in the post FRAUD ALERT. I mean no disrespect whatsoever to Oli I am only trying to see what can be done to help. Your suggestions are good but it is simple to block/ban a member that is abusing the site which again can be done on some kind of voluntary basis as well as a computer expert which regretfully I am not one could almost automate this program. Please fully understand what I am trying to say. No one wants to hurt this site but only help keep it going.

I see what you all are saying , But who would say this person is a Fraud and so is this guy , it's much like a witch hunt to me in the past I have had things that was said that I did this person wrong and so on , I never even delt with the people that talked bad about me so would that make me a fraud as well . What If someone who was mad at you for not selling them a pup or with you for doing better than their dog at some show came on here and said that you was a scam and a fraud then would this person in charge block you out of this site or the guy that said the crap about you and how would you prove that we all are not frauds , So what I am saying is its to much work to have someone do this and also many people get things said about them good and bad take the 2 top keenles in the USA , and Germany ask people what they think of them some with say they did them wrong and some will say good thing about the kennel. What we all need to do like KreighauserGSD said If you have questions, ASK them BEFORE you buy! ) I would say to people that are thinking about buying dogs is to go to the Kennel / Breeders and look for your self if you cant go have someone you trust do this for you . Well that my 2 cents , Lets just nock off all the Bad Talk about this person or that one and people use your heads when buying dogs would you buy a CAR with out a test drive ? Or a House with out someone to look at it ?

Like K-9 Helser said...everyone just do your homework and check out as much as possible before purchasing anything. I just had a potential client write to me to tell me that she didn't want to wait for my litter to be ready at the end of May, so she went with another who promised the pup for April 2....as of today, she STILL does not have the pup but paid for it....so again..research..there are many ethical breeders out there....but......every barrel has it's rotten apples.

Just to further reiterate what everyone else said, it is not the owner of this site responsibility to prevent these malicious attacks. It's ours..... And how is it ours? While it may be hard, IGNORE these people. We can sometimes induce their behavior by responding, trying to mediate and probe these folks for answers. With this site being down almost monthly, we need to take advantage of it and use it for what it was created for TO RESEARCH GSD PEDIGREES!!!
