I have been asked by the owner, as her English is not fluent, to make you AWARE of a fraudulent sales offer on this website: Tile: Best Kevin Murtal son, IDEFIX von den Leinewiesen. http://www.schafer.is/gsd/marketplace.viewad?id=8014 The poster lists the dog for sale, and that the dog resides in China....price 6,500 EU. Please note the dog is bred and owned by Kerstin Dylda, owner of von den Leinewiesen. Idefix is HER stud dog and resides happily at her kennel in Germany. As many of you breeders here in North America are aware, we get a good 10-20 foreign inquiries each week, offering to send US Cashier's cheques for a puppy or a dog, with pick up arranged by them....so what happens here is, the pup is taken and the cheque is fraudulent which the bank discovers (20-28 days later) AFTER the dog is gone. This may be the same type of trick here...but the main point is, this dog is NOT for sale by either the owner nor this person who does not have possession of him as claimed. PLEASE people! Be careful where you put your money!

Is the poster tcoolpet? If so this person lists several top dogs for sale. Maybe these others should be investigated further as wwell as it hurts the integrity of the site in addition to the honest people using it to gain knowledge and buy quality dogs/pups.... Thanks for the warning as I am a novice and weeding through the various breeders etc...myself...!!

That would be ONE of them...it is not the board's fault...there are crooks everywhere, so we should help others to not fall prey, wherever we can.

How about banning those from the site that have committed these infractions? I know there must be a computer expert that would know how to help such as not allowing free email type addresses for registration and confirming via some kind of code on login etc...???

Well that might be a start but there is so much more that needs to be done. I read the very specific rules when you want to be a member here but no one enforces them. I have been reading here a long time but was afraid to come here with an identity because of such things that I read. I can remember a member stalking another member and calling them shit names. I was terrified that it could happen to me if I said something wrong. The one member asked for the other member to be removed for the obvious attacks but the attacks continued. Then I saw no messages from either of them and thought maybe it was safe to come here. But then I see the horrible one is back. No one on this place should be creating fraud. Also no one should be attacking another. This is suppose to be a place to share information. There are so many nice people willing to share knowledge. If this could be enforced then it would be a great place. Until then it is what it is and all must know the information is only as good as it proves to be.

I agree 100% with spaetzle. These rules should be enforced. Usually a website won't enforce them because their visitors aren't enough to support the site but this site has way more than enough evidenced by the crashes in recent weeks and don't even charge people for anything free advertising etc... Another nice thing to improve the site would be have each seller prove they own the dog/pup they are selling. I have heard and understand the owner of this site Oli has many things to do just to keep the site going and is way overworked but I think a few people would be willing to help if they could. Until then we will just have to do our best and make it through but if something isn't done I think another site will come along and ultimaately this site could be shut down...I hope not but what else can be done?

Not to mention the domain space...I know every now and then I get an automated notice from my server that I am using too much space (pics will do that..LOL) and I only have a SMALL website...this one is HUGE!! Again, I think it's a good thing, when someone is committing fraud, to post it here so all can see...that is the best deterrant IMHO.
